...some understanding; how it was gonna be in the future, we was plannin. Those are some lyrics to Biz Markie's "You Got What I Need". And like Mr. Markie, I find that you have what I need, which is information. Unlike Mr. Markie, Im seeking information on a great band, rather then on a revived career from the 80's rap world. Yes, information on Eisley is what I require. Information on all these names I keep seeing dropped, and the dynamics of who's who in the Eisley world. Now I understand the in-band family (3 sisters and a brother). And from the posts I've read, it appears that Boyd is their father, and is also the guy that does all the web updates. This is something that amazes me because his tech-savyness, sense of humor (his picture descriptions crack me up), and design elements all indicate someone younger. So props to Boyd for shattering the old dude stereotype. But I still have some missing puzzle pieces. For example, who is the cute kid named Eisley Aaronson that I saw in the Lost at Sea clip? Which, by the way, was excellent. Also who are the Kimbertones? I think I've seen them mentioned a few times. I think I've seen a few other names dropped in, but I can't think of them right now. So, any help or info you could give me would be great. Why? Well, I've only had the 2 EP's for a couple weeks, but I've been spinning them nonstop since buying them. And as a recent Eisley convert, I find my need for Eisley info insatiable. After browsing this forum for awhile, I've come across these questions(Thanks to them for such a great website!). So help if like, or flame if you like, or do whatever you like. ~Poops McGee Poops' First Post!! |

Poops McGee. Dang I love that user name. I wish I'd have thought of it. Well, you pretty much have it right...or most all your assumptions are correct except the one about me. I'm a fat, bald, old hag with a wife beater and a dinted up Pinto station wagon. I'm involved in an organization called: "Bring Back Doobie 2005" and am writing a book called, "Muscle Cars and All That Jive." sorry. I'd better go read your questions. The cute kid... Eisley's A&R at Warner Bros. (signed Eisley to The Bunny) named his daughter after the band - seeing how he and his wife loved the name and love the band...and are insanely impassioned over their songs. Craig is one of our favorite people... huge fan; a huge advocate inside the label and outside. Even if it all goes under...and one day, it will... we'll remain friends with his family. (relationships) Kimbertones is Kim. 4/5's Eisley mom. My wife of 24 years. She's very cool. Or so I say... well, she birthed most of the band members...so, that says something right there. We like her. So...enuf about us. Nobody knows who you are. Thanks for the encouraging verbage. Did me good. It was good for me. Thanks. bd _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm glad you like my user name, I'm rather fond of it. I've found that anytime you add a Mc to something, it instantly becomes better. For example, who wants to eat at place called Donalds? No one I know, yet millions of people want to eat at McDonalds everyday. I think this holds true in the political arena as well. Now I can't say for fact, but I'm pretty sure Bob Dole would have won the 1996 election if he was Bob McDole. Aside from that, I think it's just a fun name to say. This is especially true when something semi-crappy has just happend. For example, you stub your toe or maybe you leave your vinatage dress on the 2nd floor of a bus, what do you do? Well, you say "Oh, Poops McGee!" and it's suddenly a little better. Don't believe me? Go ahead and try it right now, as you are sitting in front of your pc... just imagine something crappy, like you forgot to pick up your medicine for your projectile vomiting disease, and say "Poops McGee". Now, wasn't that fun?! There's actually some background behind the name, but I don't think people like reading long posts, and this one has dragged on long enough. So, if you are reading this and have made it to the bottom, then have a great day! ~Poops McGee, definitely |

Kyle took a bullet for me. Now I've got the rock the 3. KG and me, don't forget about Tenacious D. I'm so glad someone else knows that! Tenacious D cracks me up. I don't usually advocate them, because they can be really foul, but they are a riot. I'll watch just about anything Jack Black does and enjoy it. High Fidelity especially. Shallow Hal, not so especially. Anyways, I have no idea who Poops McGee is in the "kyle took a bullet for me" song. About 4 years ago a friend and I came across that song and wondered what/who he was talking about. We weren't able to find out, so we just ended up throwing the name Poops McGee around alot because we thought it sounded funny. I've always wanted to meet Jack Black, just so I could ask him about it. Hmm... maybe Eisley, in there impending stardom, will meet him one day and ask him! "Hi JB, I'm Sherri Dupree, who is Poops McGee?". Somehow I don't really see that happening, both because it dorkily rhymes, and because it's just a wierd thing to ask. If you've got anymore info the the origins of PG, please feel free to tell me, and alleviate my curiosty. (dorky rhyme intentionally added). ~Poops |
