I just willy-nilly threw up pages of my pics from the two shows, not taking into consideration my favorites/blurryness/cropping/enhancing, so I decided to pick about 30 and make my very own thread featuring them all, with some commentary.

These are all in chronological order, btw.

4/24

Ahh the Troubadour. Legendary they say. All I know is I took a bus there and was sitting next to a woman who smelled like she bathed in ketchup and was carrying around trash bags filled with discarded fast food bags. Ew. I've been to the Troubadour once before, for Bleu (check him out, amazing stuff). Great venue.

The man, the legend, Richard Swift. Rockin' during soundcheck.

Nice shot of their actual set, featuring Eli the amazing bassist.

Weston and me, me and Weston. Aww.

Annie Stela (steeeee-lah) - They tell me Stela is olde english for any sort of stone talbet used for writing.

Boyd and me, me and Boyd. Double-aww.

Chauntelle rockin' out (but not singing into the mic, as many fans sadly pointed out to her after the shows)

Group shot! Purple! flash-less! I like it, you can just about see everyone.

4/25

On the road with Eddie (PoorWriter) and Anthony, we passed the Eisleymobile because they by law had to go a pokey 55 MPH. I waved and called and took a pic (a bit late, as they are already pretty far in the distance)

It's the Transatlanticism bird! I swear it! It just needs some red string strewn about.

Arrival at Slim's. Cool venue with a cooler history.

Fancy long exposure in the dark hall. Jon's a ghost.

About the history of Slim's - I don't know much about it, but I do know this guy (Jonathan Richman) plays here a lot, and he's from my hometown of Natick, Massachusetts. I could wax poetic about the coolness of coming all this way and seeing that along with the amazing weekend I had, but I'm no poet. Oh yeah, you might recognize him as the singer/guitarist in "There's Something About Mary", too.

Rock on, Mr. Swift.

Rock on, Mr. Eli.

Robby (Robbie?) the sound guy. Didn't want to get blinded by my flash I assume. He's cool.

Ahh! She's staring down the lens.

Does anyone ever get a shot of Stacy's entire face? One of my favorites, anyway.

She's lookin' right at me too! Maybe she was getting annoyed with the blinding flash. :\

Woohoo, a good shot of the whole crew.

It's a look-at-Luke's-camera conspiracy.

Cool shot of the two singin' ladies and one bassin' fool.

He was there alllll night. There must be 80,000 tapes in some vault somewhere (50th anniversary Eisley reunion DVD footage in 2045)

You can see Weston, for once!

After I took this Collin was all "Augh!". I think my flash is pretty bright.

I'd put this at the end, but I promised chronology, so here's Nick meeting Stacy (again). Priceless looks.

Meetin' and Greetin'

Bye bye! Enjoy the 8 1/2 hour ride! (Ugh)

Welp, that's all. Whew, that took a long time. I have newfound respect for Boyd's madman forum posting.
