I've asked around, and it seems the Toronto venue only allows cameras when the band says its okay. What seems to be the opinion on this? anybody know? I'll be sad if I can't bring my camera in Crying or Very sad

well, i know snow patrol doesn't allow video cameras, but i couldn't say about photography, i didn't see any flashes go off in the crowd. that would be super bum if they pooped all over picture taking, i'd hate them forever for it...

so since my digital camera records video(without sound) as well, would it be best not to bring it then?

Don't tell anyone it records anything but still pictures. Very Happy

I know Eisley approves of cameras. But that's just Eisley.

yeah, Eisley would've let us film the whole concert last night, but Boyd said that Snow Patrol won't allow video cameras and you have to obey their rules since they are headlining. Dang...we were gonna make a dvd out of it, and put the interview on there too and ship it out to boardies at cost...that way folks who can't go to the concert could hear the new tracks, and their sheer brilliance...

I hope they let me bring my still camera to the San Francisco show. That would be a bum deal if I couldn't. The Fillmore usually does but I wander if Snow Patrol does..... hmmm.....

i also hate it when you can't bring cameras in the venue. but what i usually do is stick the camera in the waistband of my pants. i'm a chick and they very rarely pat down women.

i'm trying to figure out how to take nice pictures in the dark to i won't be noticed... this digital camera of mine, while i can turn off the flash... it emits this orage glow before it takes pictures... really odd.

the things is though, i probably wouldn't take any pictures during the snow patrol show anyways. Smile

i'm tempted to call (or get my brother to drop by) richards on richards and ask.

p.s. i'm not sure if he's mentioned it but i think LongMayWeRun is also flying out to Vancouver from Calgary ... though we're on different flights. Sad

i don't think we care either way...
but it might be Snow patrol that doesn't dig it....
in fact, their word goes. I'll try to find out for sure.
I don't care if you guys blast away and neither does the band.

you can also take an old purse with lining, cut a hole between the lining and the outside and stick your camera in there.

yeah, I'll just try and hide it. I just wanted to know either way. I can turn the flash off and turn up the exposure, I'm sure it'll work out.
