Does anyone know how high of a priority Eisley is at Warner Reprise?

boyd was talking about their relationship a whille ago and he said that the WB label is really interested in them and has high hopes for the album. so i guess they're up there on priorities.

You'd have to ask someone at Reprise. But I'd be inclined to say it doesnt matter that much. Reprise are a big label and they can deal with a large number of artists at a time.... with a huge staff of publicists and press people, designers, distro people, lawyers yadda yadda yadda. But seeing as Eisley are so fantastically self-sufficient in regards to artwork, websites, touring, recording and already have links with people like Dave Holmes they'll be awesome either way! I know this probably doesn't answer your question, but I honestly have no idea how else to answer such a very, very random question!

I don't know if anyone else watched it,( I watched it for the fights and stupidity! I mean come, on they played dice in the studio when they were supposed to making a record!) but on P. Diddy's Making the Band 2, he was talking about priority levels within record companies. For instance ( I'm just guessing): At Wind-Up, Evanescence would be a top priority.

It's amazing how much (and how little) you can learn about the record industry from TV.

Nah, go for it. I think its awesome you post so much. And you're absolutely right, Brand New do rock! I interviewed Jesse in January and he was awesome. I've rediscovered how great "your favourite weapon" is today! Sorry this is so off topic.

Does there happen to be a transcript of that interview?

To speak of the original topic: I think that - sadly - Eisley isn't one of their biggest priorities. I would also agree, though, that they are great about doing a lot of their own publicity. Besides, Eisley is a great band and I'm pretty sure that they will only attract more fans as they progress. I haven't said anything new here, it's all old hat.

Well, no transcript. But you can read the resulting article at http://students.bugs.bham.ac.uk/redbrick/oldwebstuff/pages/Page_16.pdf

You'll need adobe though. If that doesnt work, pm me and I'll just send you the original draft.
