I errm, uhh.. ok, like most of you know, I live in California and got hooked on Eisley via the .mp3's on the website, and since being able to download those songs i've burned some copies (along with some cd decorations hehe) for friends of mine who I thought would enjoy the music. Well, all but one person totally fell in love with the tunes, and now I hear from this girl at school that there are a bunch of kids who have an Eisley CD in Santa Rosa (a city right below mine) and they're all totally digging it.. and well when I heard that I thought 'wow, how cool, more eisley fans around here, they're probably listening to burned copies of the CD I made for my friends.'

but hmm I guess it wasn't as cool as it seemed to me.. but hrrm I was able to plant a see, so that's pretty rockin' for me, hehe..

wait .. man i should sleep, i'm a dangerous poster when I'm tired.. I have the fantastic ability to bore people to death with my long-winded words being pulled along by a string.. blah blah balhbalbhalbhalbh

indeed people, indeed.. Exclamation

So I'm curious. How did you discover the band in the first place?

I was lucky enough to buy tickets to the Coldplay show in Houston... and was very impressed with the band. The only other times I've been so impressed with an opening act was when I saw Mercury Rev open for REM... and Ozma open for Weezer. I bought the Mercury Rev album, Deserter's Songs and didn't care much for it. I got Ozma's Rock and Roll Part Three and I love it (and I'm sad that I missed Ozma when they were in Houston a couple weks ago). So what am I trying to say? I typically don't become so fond of a band so quickly... after seeing them just once and not being familiar with them first. Eisley is just one of those exceptions.

I just kind of found eisley today. I have heard 1 song and its good. I bought a ticket to see coldplay and stumbled on to them. They would fit good at portico. Anyway, I think they are great. I almost went to cochella cause I was gonna be down there to play with a band but it didn't work out, now I am sorry i missed it.

Thats cool... kids in santa rosa listening to eisley bootlegs. I don't think the band minds too much... all that stuff has been on the eisley site at one time or another. If I ever go to california and go to your area, I'll have to meet you. That would be cool.

oh man, sorry guys, im forgetting to reply to threads all over the place here..

anyway, ok i'm gonna answer everyone in this one post, so it's gonna be a long one..

rmlawrence: I actually first heard of Eisley this last summer.. errm, summer of '02, and I found out about them on the official radiohead messageboard.. one of them posted a link for someone else, and I caught the reply that the music was good, and was curious.. so that person gave me the link to the website, I went straight to the music section, gave a listen and was instantly hooked heh.. so yeah, that's it I suppose, nothing too interesting I suppose..

all.but.forgotten: I was going to go to coachella as well, however I couldn't get funds together in time, i'm just a poor highschool kid without a job.. so hmm i'm really regretting it now as well.. however I get to see eisley at the shoreline amatheater on the 30th of this month wich is sweet beyond words.. Smile

juan: pfft, for serious, I even called the CD I gave to my friends the "5-track mosseisley bootleg" hehe Wink but it's all good, because now most of my friends are hooked on Eisley, four of whom are going to the coldplay show with me to see them in concert, so it all works out you know? heh

keyboardplayer: yeah, somewhere out there there are some more bootleggers, I don't know where one would find them though hehe .. Rolling Eyes Twisted Evil

sc0tt: yeah sc0tt, if you are every anywhere by me, give me a heads up, and we'll like hang out, we could hit all of the baskin robbins stores and stuff hehe.. :-p

letdowntourist: haha yeah that's an interesting way of looking at it.. i'm mostly used to listening to pretty sucky bands at the local shows around here, but there are some gems amongst everything else, plus it's just cool to hang out with your friends and listen to crappy music right? right hehe.. Wink :-p

i don't plan on telling her anything... probably because it is highly unlikely that we will ever met or converse in any way. but on the off chance that we do, i will make sure not to tell her that she is pop. Wink

hehe, thanks Jonathan, that's nice to hear.. and i've gotta say that more people would be coming if they had more money, however, by the time you guys come anywhere around here again to play a concert i'm sure they'll attend. Hmm, but yes, cool, and uhh I don't know about anyone else, but I hang around here so much because i'm pretty dorky, and i'm something of an internet junkie, so it's hard for me to stay away from things like messageboards sometimes..

but yeah and avril does have a good voice, it would be kinda cool if she was actually punk, but hey, no one can be errm, perfect right? hehe..

oh yes, and i'm really excited about the shoreline, so is everyone who's going, and it'll be pretty sweet to finally meet all of you crazy guys ... Wink
