beatles all the way.....well i suppose i'm a bit biased......i don't really care for the rolling stones...plus the influence that the beatles have far surpasses the stones....

Beatles all the way!
The stones are good, but I like Iggy Pop more.

I remember the day my brother Wade and I bought our first few 45 vinyls in the early to mid 60's. What a score. It was the first day of the rest of our musical journey that's never stopped. We came home with a sac with records of featuring The Beatles: "We can Work it out", which might have been on the flip side of "Day Tripper" but we also also bought "Help" and on the flip side might have been "I saw her standing there" or maybe it was"I wanna Hold Your Hand....I can't remember. But, o.m.gosh. We freaked.

But, I'm not finished...the same day we bought The Rolling Stones: "Mother's Little helper" and The Troggs: "Wild Thing".
We played all of the songs constantly....not long after that, we bought another Beatles 45: "Elenor Rigby"...and then we discovered Beatle LP's. And sure, we eventually bought one more Stones 45: "Honky Tonk Women". But, that was the end of it. They just drifed out of our hearts. The Beatles filled up our lives...it was beautiful. Creative. Imaginative. Melodic. Inspiring. Or maybe it was just those bright orange and yellow Capitol graphics spinning around the turntable...and we were hypnotized.

Sorry, no contest.

Come on, there is no way that the Stones can come anywhere close to the Beatles. Thats not even a question.

Boyd,
actually "I'm Down" was the B-side to "Help". That is if you had the first pressing, with the orange/yellow swirl label. "I Saw Her standing There" was issued as the U.S. B-side to "I want to hold your hand". In England, the B-side to I want to hold your hand was the lovely "This Boy." The UK pressing have much better mixes than the US versions because they came from the first generation master tapes. By the time the tapes got to the US they were already the third or forth generation master tapes.
"Day Tripper" and "We can work it out" were issued together. They called it a double A-side.

I am a Beatles historian as you can see.
