My vote would have to go to JAG PANZER, although i guess they would fall more into the Opera Metal category. they are more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

Queensryche always sounded good to me. I'm not sure they count either.
great melodies, and some of the best guitar solos ever. Goeff Tate is a truly phenomenal singer

wow, I don't know who decided on the list of hair bands, but you made a horrible mistake. It is quite clear that the greatest hair band is Stryper. Anyone who has seen them perform To Hell With the Devil will agree. That's my two cents! Anyway, this is my first post here, I love Moss Eisley sonce i saw them at Cornerstone this last year. You guys rock!!!! Unfortunately, I'm from Indiana, so I won't be seeing you anytime soon. Are you guys coming to Cornerstone again?

Eisley played Cornerstone? What the?!?!!? Tell me they did it for publicity... I have some major qualms about that.

stryper? Ewwwwwww I hated stryper with a passion

for me personally I loved whitesnake,I like david coverdales vocals and in the late eighties/early nineties they had Steve Vai on guitar...good enough for me

PS you left GNR off the list, surely they fit into this category

Does Van Halen count as a hair band? Diamond Dave was the epitome of 80s big hair, cheese and glam. So i'm gonna say them.

I have liked van halen since I was a kid,I still like them especially the Sammy Hagar years.

PS my first ever (proper) gig was david lee roth on his skyscraper tour in 1988...which like my last post, had Steve vai on guitar..Hmm,i'm starting to see a pattern haha

Nah, GnR is not a hair band. They had hair but their music was pure rock n roll, none of that glam.

ok then i voted for def leppard. but bon jovi was a very very close second. for some reason i don't quite think of either of these bands as hair metal really.

i guess i should've voted poison, they seem more hair metal.
