Somebody just make a sign, alright? 80 cents for posterboard, 50 cents for a marker. Easy. I'd do it but I have no time, and it's pretty hard to stalk someone when you have a big sign saying MEET HERE! _________________ May I introduce myself? I'm Discerning Alt, Quirky Romantic. |

[Jerry Seinfeld voice] Okay, okay. So. I'm standing in line outside the Gypsy Ballroom, and my Pa says, "Hey. That person up there looks really familiar. I can't pin down where I've seen him." Okay. So I look up to see who he's talking about. Okay. So I look up, and I see this group of people. And one of them's got glasses, dark hair and a beard. Standing next to him is a guy with strawberry blonde hair, who is laughing. A couple other people are standing with them. Suddenly, I realize...it's these guys, okay, it's Jamie, BK and whoever else they're with! Okay. So. I start panicking. I put my head down, and whenever BK or Jamie looks over in my general direction, I hide behind my savior - some tall guy that was easy to hide behind. Or, I just look in the exact same direction they're looking in, so I'll turn my head in unison with them. Lots of looking at my feet, and trees, and the sky. FINALLY, they separate the ticket holders from the ticketless. Me ticketless. Them ticketful. Phew! Okay, so I'm hanging out with us ticketless losers in the ticketless line, listening to these other two guys' conversation(I chime in with, "January is when the Eisley album's supposed to be out," and, "Yes, they're on tour with Snow Patrol."). This girl in front of me is talking on her cell phone to someone else in the ticketful line. I'm not paying much attention, until I hear... Girl: "Jamie!" Jamie says stuff, and I think, "Man, there's lots o' Jamies. Couldn't be that one." So. Okay. I turn around and it's him. Panicking, I look at the sky. My feet. A tree. My ridiculously interesting thumbnails. He goes back to the ticketful line. Bla bla bla, Boyd passes me when I'm waiting in line(EEK! ROCK STAR!), and I almost blurt out to someone, "Oh, yeah, that's when Eisley was in between Dallas and Tyler and they got in that wreck a few months back." (This was me almost answering to someone's mention of a big dent in their trailer. I'm assuming that's what it's from.) So...Okay. What's up with thaaat?! [/Jerry Seinfeld voice] (p.s. Show was spectacular! Also, some guy tried to talk to me. Are you some guy? I was wearing something old, something new, something stolen, something blue. Not really. Green sweater that made me look nerdy. Perfect "fitting in" wardrobe for my immensely successful stalking boardies adventure. What I don't tell you is that I was taking notes whenever I saw the boardies. Merch table, ticket line outside...I'm watching you. It was so fun, too. I'd never stalked before.) _________________ If the end of the world has proper noodles I'll probably be okay with it. |
