Saw a very nice review in ET- They gave it a B plus! I'm so stoked about the album, can't wait to get it. I've been plugging Eisley on a lot of other artist's boards too----hope that helps. I was just about to post this. Since the review wasn't typed, I'll go 'head. This fresh faced band - comprising 4 Texas sublings and their bassist friend - sounds more like seasoned pros than industry young-uns on their full length debut. Noises charms with refreshing indie-flavoured pop-rock fare like "Marvelous Things" and "Memories," which lace subtle guitar/keyboard riffs with sweet (but not syrupy) Lisa Loeb-esque vocals. There's always room for growth, but this solid first album proves we were right to declare Eisley one of South by Southwest's 2003 stand outs. B+ |
