Oh, don't lie to the poor Australian! Technically, juice, tea, water and smoothies could be considered soft drinks, but I have never heard anyone call them that. And if they do, they're just bad people.

I don't call it much these days since I stopped drinking them, but when I do drink one...I refer to it as "soda." "Pop" is so Leave it to Beaver.

Soda-Pop seems to please everyone. I used the combination name. Plus it seems a bit novelty anyway. Old fashioned to say soda-pop. Or if I'm feeling extra "country" I say Sodey-pop.

my dad says sodey-pop when he's being really silly. which is most of the time.
i say coke or soda. coke is usually what comes out when i'm not paying attention or thinking about it too hard.
and soda isn't formal. not here anyway. here, pop just doesn't make sense. i always giggle when somebody says pop in reference to carbonated beverages. even soda-pop. it's just SILLY.
i gave up coke like a month ago or so, but i still love it... *sigh*

im going to start a revolution, and the heading of our Manifesto will be "hackers of the the world unite!"...

wrong movie. it will be a revolution about making the whole world call carbonated beverages "POP". we shall move from country to country, converting the masses, telling the people of the good word of Pop. we shal rule supreme!!!!

and i put way too much thought into this post, sorry y'all.
