I was just wondering what kind of books you read and if they influence your music and the lyrics.

Also a big thanks for your music ! it often makes my day !

Merci beaucoup !

I am going to go off the norm (tcon) here, and say Lord of the Rings.

Do Tom Clancy books count?

I have a slight feeling that he's asking what's Eisley reading.... Rolling Eyes

I love Tolkien, and the Harry Potter books... as for what i read mostly... I love old literature... particularly Lord of the Flies and The Catcher in the Rye... stuff that makes you think about humanity, rather than stuff just for fun... I like to read theology books, and books about Christianity, as well as... other religions... right now I'm reading the Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis (my first Lewis book Surprised) and i just finished the Tori Amos autobiography and "Elliott Smith and the Big Nothing"...

I don't really read that much...

Right now I'm reading every book I can get my hands on by Ray Bradbury. Also a big fan of Tolkien and Douglas Adams.

Boyd just mentioned on the journal that Colin from the Decemberists recommended some books for Sherri. Maybe we can find out some of those soon. Wink

This gentleperson is obviously asking what Eisley reads. Its being in Eisleyblog confirms that, as does their concern with musical and lyrical influence

-i buy books from second hand bookstores, never new. so whatever just interests me. you know what they say about not judging a book by its cover? sometimes, you can. and sometimes, the books that do interest me have covers that do as well.
