hmmm, who am i? how existential...hehe. well. my name is jacob. i work for the largest chemical database in the world. i edit scientific journals. im 25. im an english major in college. focusing on creative writing also, im taking my sweet time getting my degree. im a writer. working on a novel. also, working a on a prequel for the novel that would be released as a serialized web-novel. dont know if i should try to advertise on here? perhaps someone might be able to get back to me on that? the website for the web-novel is a couple months off so im in no rush. i found eisley back when room noises was released. saw a snippet of the telescope eyes video. and to be honest i was intrigued primarily because i found sherri absolutely adorkable. but as i listened i fell in love with the music. melody is one of my favorite things ever next to butterscotch and kitty kats. sadly i have yet to see the band in concert. hopefully they will come through my neck o' the wood eventually. columbus isnt all about cows and buckeyes, we like good music aswell, i promise. |

Um... I'm new and uh...I'm 17 and I live in Fort Worth, Tx and right now, we are under a tornado watch and I'm very scared so I needed some support from people who love Eisley almost as much as I do. I have a severe case of lilapsophobia (look it up) and its clinical, so I use Eisleys music as a scapegoat of my problems. You guys don't know how much your insanly magical voices help us little people...so thanks!!!! _________________ f@^t@s+!c |

Hide out in the basement or whereever and put on some Eisley music. It'll be okay. Actually, Lilapsophobia would be a cool name for a band! Welcome to Laughing City! And hey, go here if you want to listen to some Eisley music that you may not have already heard before: http://www.strangeyellowpatterns.com |

Hello fellow posters, Name's Willie Smith, friends call me Wil, jokes follow shortly. Professional Computer Support Personnel in public schools. Recreational Musician, Journalist, Photographer. Former Record Store Clerk, College Radio DJ, Charity Event Organizer. Been 25 for 7 years. (same age as Tiger Woods, much lower income) Maybe the world's tallest Eisley fan, 6'8" or 2 meters, your pick. Bible Advocate (Proverbs, read them, embrace them & life make's sense) 1st heard Eisley in 03' on Fuse's Fresh Baked or Subterranean on MTV2. Thought Marvelous Things was the novelest thing going at that time and sounded incredible. (Aaron Sprinkle knows what he'd doing folks) Enjoyed insightful Boyd's journals on the making of Room Noises. (Bitter Sweet for an Elliott Smith fan knowing why Rob Schnaft was so busy at that time) Find it cool & odd that Eisley that our local paper could only site Jeremy Enigk as a comparison (that writer's band opened for him in 06', could that be a factor? Glad their is still dedicated fan support in an age of very fickle followers Oh, and I like parenthetical statements _________________ yup, that's my name. Hello, Wil! I've known some tall boardies, but I think 6' 8" might take the cake. Welcome to the forum! (And I like parenthetical statements, too.) P.S. I took a listen to your Purevolume page, good music! _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

appreciate the compliment, and appreciate you taking a listen. If there's anything positive to be heard, it's the byproduct of hearing the good music of others. Luckily, for myself, and anyone kind enough to listen, my taste has gotten better over the years... Again, thanks very much. I am sincerely grateful for the positive feedback. _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons.
