I'm split.

On one hand, what Facebook lacks in gratutitous advertizing it more than makes up for in completely ridiculous applications.

On the other hand, what Myspace lacks in visual design and DEFAULT privacy settings (the options are there, but they're turned off by default), it makes up for in functionality and ease of use.

Eh, I could go either way.

I voted Facebook because of the feed and poking.

Eh, I could go either way.

a) the applications aren't that bad. it's annoying to get invites all the time, but what you have to realize is - that's from YOUR friends haha. and my friends are finally calming down on that front ... stupid ads (often inappropriate ones) do not calm down. they get worse. and plus, how hard is it to just say "ignore"? not very.

b) i still say facebook has better privacy options. yeah you can make your myspace private, but facebook has the limited profile thing. and the options get really specific with networks and whatnot.

c) people keep saying myspace is easier to use. i don't get that at all. facebook is WAY easier to use. that's why more and more of the older generation are getting on it, because it's less complicated to set up a profile and start friending people you know. my parents and like half my aunts and uncles are on it. haha. no grandparents yet, but ya never know.

all that, AND, i think the facebook profile is just more attractive than the default myspace profile. it's set up better, and a lot more simple since you can't pretty up your facebook with html, etc. makes life a lot easier.

I like Facebook more. I can use it and not feel disgusted with myself.

I don't know how you could think that about one and not the other.

I only prefer MySpace in terms of music (As it is how I re-discovered Eisley). However, I prefer Facebook. It just has a more coherent, neat feel to it.

Everyone who I'd want to keep in touch with again isn't on either of them. Atleast with myspace it's harder for peoples from high school to add me. But I like facebook's search feature. I can go either way

I think both are creepy. I don't have Facebook, but I'm missing the point for both of them. The only purpose I see for MySpace is when it's used for promoting your music, your movies, your clothing line, your organization, whatever of that kind. I'm not sure how Facebook works for that, but if I'm not mistaken, MySpace has more resources, at list for music. That's the only reason I have MySpace... I definetely wouldn't have one if it wasn't for sharing my music.

I don't really get the whole networking fashion. But then again, I'm not very technologic.

The reason I used to like facebook more than myspace is now void (the fact that you had to have a university/school e-mail to start a profile), but it's still easier to use and a lot less crowded (if you don't have all those stupid applications). Also you can't set up html profiles like on myspace. The profiles load a lot faster.

I still vote facebook.
