Today I was in a record store - Avalanche - for what was the first time in seven months... and saw Combinations under "indie artists - E".

The price?

£3.99!? Shocked Most albums are £10.00. Minimum for a new first-hand CD i've seen is £6.99. And that's at Avalanche!

I'm glad to say I've never seen a used eisley cd for sale and I hit quite a few. I always hate seeing great albums for sale used. Some people don't get what they're missing...then again maybe they really needed the $2.00 they get per cd they sell to the store.

...You can only hope that for every person that sells a CD, another comes along, browsing through the used cd racks, and thinks, "hey, this band looks cool!" Wah-lah! a new fan.

When I heard about Eisley, I checked them out on myspace and couldnt get into them. I had a couple friends who listened to them and said they were really good. I didnt continue to explore their music. A few weeks or months later (can't remeber) I happened to be at a record store and "Combinations" was sitting on one of those listening displays. I listened to a few songs from the album and bought it.

Unfortunately it usually doesn't happen that way for lots of people... I usually know exactly what I am going to buy when I go into a CD store.

I found a Room Noises cd for sale used at my local record store for 5 bucks. I had to buy it simply to get it off that shelf and into a nice home even if I do own it already.

When I see a great CD on the cheap shelves that I already have, I'm tempted to pull out $3 and give it + the CD to some random person there and say, "Listen to this, and that will be thanks enough," and walk away. Haven't done it yet though...

I got my Room Noises because a high school friend "hated it". I was so baffled, yet couldn't complain, i was happy to take it off his hands. I then played it for my Art Class, it was awesome. Very Happy. Also when i went to FYI some blue colored store, when i bought Combinations, i saw a used CD($7) so i guess its decently common.

the original cd they were talking about wasn't used. I didn't really read the original post and then took it into used cds for some reason.
