I wish they would've utilized their vocals on it more. There was a video where they were all practicing the song and just sang it acapella and it sounded SO much better. I think they should've made it an acapella song. _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R. Kelly approves of peeing in the shower. The world is R. Kelly's shower. Gave the LP a listen on Rhapsody last week (as a result of the thread) ... I'm sure its good stuff if you were born with the "CCM" gene... Unfortunately, I wasn't.... and find it intolerable to the point of nausea. I'll have to take you guys' word that it is "good" in some objective sense that I am simply incapable of perceiving. |

I can't even hear the girls on these clips, but what I can hear just bores me. That "How He Loves" song is one one of the awful CCM live albums (Hillsong? I'm not sure.) my coworker plays during naptime every day at the daycare, and I can't stand it--it's just a string of unconnected ten dollar words meant to emulate the weight and profundity of an actual hymn, and it fails miserably to do so. I'm sure somewhere in here the girls sound lovely, but I'm not enough of an Eisley completist to warrant buying this. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

atleast dave changes the line of "heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss" to "heaven meets earth like an unforseen kiss" the original version is strange to hear. as for david. He is pretty far from CCM. given that, to me, he is atleast torrable to listen to. his first few albums are amazing. we must remember (i know it is hard given this is an eisley board). That his is not an eisley song. it is a David Crowder song. So the girls are pretty low in the mix. yes, to the point of not hearing them at all. but it is not their song. so, it doesnt bother me. _________________ Wil's excellent description of me. wilsmith wrote: You're the Anti-Censorship+Topless Twitpic Parodying+Youth Group Video Directing guy that's a champion for the 1st amendment, Videogames as Art, and unrepentant file sharing... Honestly, I don't really like his version of How He Loves. I love the original by John Mark McMillan. But then again, that's the first version I heard and it's meant to have more of an indie feel to it. I like that Eisley sings on it and it's not that I don't like it, either. It's that I like the original so much more that, to me, it doesn't compare. _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R. Kelly approves of peeing in the shower. The world is R.
