who knows their Conan?

my earliest Conan memory has to be in the early days of the show.

it was some kind of Michael Jackson animation joke that included urination.

ring any bells?

Wow I don't remember that, but I did watch his very 1st episode, just to see how it went off, and a few more from that era, then a few around when Andy was leaving, and then sporadically based on guests. I don't remember the MJ bit though. The bits with his "Kid Sister" were hilarious though, what's her name is on Mad TV now.

What? No Amy Poehler played Andy's little sister with braces and she had a crush on Conan.

Well, I mean, that character, as unflattering as it is, is like Amy Poehler doing a Stephanie Weir impersonation, either that or Stephanie Weir's main characters on Mad TV are all impersonating Amy Poehler doing Stacy... with a Lobotomy

What was so different about his show?

Nothing as far as I know - it was just earlier.

I liked there being an earlier show because I have to go to bed for work and miss most of the others anyway.

I guess I"m a weird late night viewer - I really have no preference of host, just watch based on what guests are on that night.

If I do watch, it's only for the musical guest portion, unless there is someone I REALLY enjoy hearing interviewed like:

Bill Murray
Matthew McConauhey
Robin Williams
Jennifer Tilly
Susan Sarandon
Grace Jones
Norm McDonald
Charles Grodin
Richard Simmons
Bob Golthwaite

the only thing that really angers me a little is the way Ferguson opens his show without telling who the guests are. you never know when or where they'll show the opening credits. luckily, i have the Late Night TV page bookmarked.

I pretty much think NBC shouldn't be a network anymore. They've gone from a glorious rebirth of network TV to another awful crap pile in just a few years.

I have heard that the laymen refer to it as "hubris".
