Boyd said that none of the songs on the EP are slated for the LP whatsoever when it came up in discussion. _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons. LC > FB = personal fave = Eisley fans should dig it |

It came up when I was in the prewriting stage for my shelved Deep Space EP review. It was going to be too long, WAY too long for an EP. It would have worked better if there was a tour stop and show to publicize with the EP review in tandem, that said I have to get said review and beef it up for something more substantial than a one off review and duh, just cause more comments would be nice, as well as a chance to direct people to the source for all the good info http://www.eisley.com/journals/trolleywood/ _________________ yup, that's my name. I think it would help to view Deep Space as a Mid release EP vs. A Pre-release ep, like Head Against the Sky or Like the Actors? Cept this go around there was only 1 song previously available in some fashion. _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons. I'd be really interested in hearing some solo stuff from Chauntelle. Personally I wouldn't mind to hear some of the EP songs on LP4, but I'd still rather have those places on the album taken up with new tracks. I do hope that the new LP will be moving in the same direction as Deep Space. I really loved the sound of that EP. |

Well, they are bankrolling a home studio with the next tour, so, that's a step closer to the approach they took with Deep Space, and I imagine they'll have some guidance from Andy Freeman given he is the only one to record in their homes of all the producers they've worked with as far as I know. Also bare in mind that they've been writing for LP4 for months now. They finished Deep Space in August or so. If there's any doubt they have an albums worth of material in them, bare in mind that they have had nearly 8 months to write since Deep Space. The first challenge will be whether they push past the 11 song cap they seemed to have on their previous records. And just for argument's sake, none of the Combinations songs were on EPs prior to that albums release, so it's fair to say there is a precedent for albums full of new songs from Eisley. _________________ yup, that's my name. if each sister contributes at least five or six songs, that'd be awesome. _________________ Oneironaut http://www.facebook.com/ChengBand |

The news that they have been cleared to self-produce and are building out a studio to record the LP creates conditions they've never had for recording a full length, but one's I've always maintained they would bloom under. And I would be very intrigued to see some Chauntelle output on LP4. If DS and other recent happenings are indicative... great things. |
