They only had a couple left after the New Orleans show but were expecting to receive more. Speaking of the New Orleans show: Two Worlds https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJ__I0kcR0Q |

just got back from the show. here are my thoughts. Merriment was good, but it's honestly just not my thing. haha, i once again requested Cheesy Love Song, and got a big head shake from christie. The Honey Trees weren't bad either, but i felt so bored during most of it. as for Sucre, stacy was on point as usual. however, her voice sounded more shrill than before and not the usual deep and low. i'm not sure if it was the mixing, her changing her singing style, or a different mic. she did say the mic she was using was a new one she got tonight via shure (wireless). weirdly enough, i feel like the timbre of her voice suddenly changed in the middle of Troubled Waters, and her voice suddenly sounded more rich and deep. also, i think stacy must be taking after and channeling Lorde in her live performances. my main complaint is the use of too many tracks. i'm not against it altogether, but i think there was too much of it, and it created a weird balance with the live band. i can't really explain it except for the tracks had an atmosphere that the live aspects just couldn't create and it was off putting to me that way. also, i LOVED that stacy played silver springs by herself on piano. made it super intimate. she also seems to play it faster live. _________________ Oneironaut http://www.facebook.com/ChengBand |

Thanks for those videos! I think Stacy's been a little sick the last couple stops? Maybe that's why you noticed the change. Her voice in person always sounds much higher to me than it does even in footage from the same show, but still rich and without the nasal tone that the others slip into. |

Ok, I figured it was something like that. Also I'm not a huge fan of shure mics in general either. Especially for voices like the Dupree sisters. _________________ Oneironaut http://www.facebook.com/ChengBand |

So far, all the live videos I've seen, Stacy sounds amazing. Impressed that the high parts of Loner have been so spot on (as good as or better than the recording). As far as channeling Lorde, I sincerely hope not. Stacy is light years ahead of Lorde. Lorde's live performances look like she is about to have a stroke. Stacy is effortless. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0dEuC_8YYQ |

Oh yea, I forgot to mention how impressed I was at her live vocal performance at the end of line of fire. But yea, I mentioned the lorde thing to one of my friends there and they thought so a bit too. _________________ Oneironaut http://www.facebook.com/ChengBand |
