OK...here's the story....again When Boyd and I were dating, he was in a band that went and did missionary work. They went to a country called Belize at the time. He stayed with a family that had a little black girl that he fell in love with. Boyd always had little kid's like him. (that's one of the features that I liked about him). Anyway, when he came back from that trip, he told me about this little girl named Chauntelle that was so cute. He said, "whenever we get married, and whenever we have kid's, and if we have a girl, I want to name her Chauntelle." So, 2 1/2 have years into our marraige, along came baby number one. Of course, we named her Chauntelle. We were standing at the hospital nursery window looking at our beautiful first born, and their was this old French man standing next to us. He had the genuine French beard and accent and everything. He asked us, "so which one is your baby?" We pointed out Chauntelle. He read the name on the crib and said, "aw, Chauntelle...do you know what her name means?" (all in a French accent) We told him no. He informed us that Chauntelle means, "to sing". We thought that was really cool, since we did not know that, and because music had been the big thing that brought Boyd and I together. Since I have shared this story on the forum, I have been told that this was not correct, but, I choose to believe the old Frenchman |

I didn't know Dupree was an Acadian name. That's very interesting. I'm Parisian French myself. My great grandfather lived just outside of Paris. YAY for French people!!!!! _________________ Don't you let them tell you you're an ugly child. They are blind to the beauty that lies within |
