There's a learning curve, but I'm getting it. So far I like translate selection email selection to (name of contact) highlighting and typing 'define' or 'map' or 'wiki' how fun |

http://www.google.com/chrome New kid on the block. It looks like firefox with IE7 address bar. Seems about as fast as FF3 atm. I'm gonna do kirk's tests in a few.  _________________

Chrome is doing some really innovative stuff with memory and processes. It's pretty featureless right now, though. I expect v2 to be a fully featured browser able to compete with FF. |

I love firefox...I don't know why. Maybe it's the tabs, though I'm not sure if internet explorer has them...I think it may but they're hard to use. Once I downloaded this pretty cool martial arts web browser though. It was very low grade and hard to use so I just got on there to look at martial arts links. +1 on Google Chrome. I just switched to it.. even though it's only in Beta, it's still pretty good. Especially for Javascript stuff.. it's way faster than any other browser out there cause of it's new V8 engine thingy.. don't really understand it, but whatever. lol |

There are some interesting numbers here and here. Basically, it's a mixed bag. Safari/WebKit proper, Firefox, and now Chrome are rapidly advancing performance. Chrome is new, but the other two teams have been in a race for some time now, each occasionally leapfrogging the other--and now there's a new player. Internet Explorer is, unexpectedly, totally irrelevant. The overall message is that end users are the big winners, and progress is being made by orders of magnitude now. |

To be fair, IE8 handles memory just like Chrome so they did beat FF and Safari to it. |
