It's funny to think of Sherri as an 80yr old grandmother/senior citizen with an arm sleeve. ha.

Does anyone know any 70+ yr olds with a lot of tattoos? I know of some that got maybe a few while fighting in wars, but I can't think of any with extensive, at least visible anyway.

I saw a guy close tot hat old with two pretty big ones at the hardware store today. And there are a good number of Bikerish Grey-haired Grand and Great Grand Parents that visit the school for programs that are sporting lots of tats, more every year.

Meanwhile, Inorbit:

Is that a Guy with Fire for Hair near the dog's lower torso? At first, I was like, 'Hmmm... That looks like Firestorm or Firelord, what is that?" Definitely Firelord

I don't think it's fair to do a Rorschach test from a far distance. You need a closer picture of the tattoo itself.

You too? Evil or Very Mad
Bit awkward trying to shoot it solo with limited equipment to hand. Made a special effort for you though, Wil, even if it does take a lot of the fun out of the Rorschach projections...
Best I could manage; still out of focus.

...and the tat itself has obviously seen better days.

Although, it's actually kind of funny. The first thing I saw was a guy hunched over a desk. It reminded me of my cities' library, where the computer monitors are locked underneath this plastic thing, so they're kind of on an angle and you have to look down in order to see the screen.

clearly indicative of a profoundly disturbed mind.

I've seen older people with conspicuous arm tattoos. It doesn't look terrible. And in other cultures where tattooing has been mainstream for centuries (the Maori and various pacific islanders, for instance) there are plenty of seniors who are covered in them. I think how they look to us is a question of cultural adjustment, and by the time Sheri gets that old it will be a lot more common and will look a lot less strange to most people. She will have quite a lot of company, right? And there is always long sleeved shirts Very Happy

I've always thought that tribals (the way the've been done in Western culture much more than in the traditional context) could become a bit more of an issue. They usually seem designed very much to complement a particular type of physique, the maintenance of which will inevitably become a bit less viable at some point, and then I imagine they could end up looking a bit silly. Don't know though. They've only really been popular since the early 90's, so we'll see how they turn out when the X'ers start retiring.

Laughing at least now you see why I was making a case for a close up, cause Jeez, there is absolutely no Firelord in that tat, but there apparently Firelord lurking in my brain. Apparently my inner geek will not be repressed. Embarassed

The Ink Blot Test is going well regardless:

Guy slumped over desk. - you now know something about the libraries out east.

Random Comic Book Demigod Head floating in the foreground. - you now know I have knowledge of an obscure comic book character or two.

All that for the cost of making like Cirque De Sole' to get a picture of a back tattoo.

Totally worth it Razz

Coincidentally I came across this today on the Book of Faces

Puppy chasing a butterfly it is not. Laughing

I would never, ever have been able to make that out from the first one. You could've just posted this to begin with and spared the forum the superfluous nudity! Thankful I didn't ask to see the scar on your knee. Razz

Have any other DuPrees posted pics showing that they'd gotten tattoos?

Well, in fairness, that would have been a bit easier for me to shoot close in.

You'd still have that urge to contend with though. We haven't forgotten SD...

We're talking the fake id right?
That's what i was thinking SD was referencing, but the beach?

And i remember some T. I. Fan saying they had the memory of a goldfish. Not true, unless the tank is full of ginger and gensing root laced water.

It was near the beach. And I've never seen anyone act like that on the beach...at least in broad daylight! I'm not judging though; I just want you to get the help you need. Smile

Yeah, they might be in a bit of trouble...

Laughing Talk about memories!! But yeah, my caretakers have actually been quite nice about cleaning out the tank, and spoling me with brain boosters, like veg-friendly DHA and your regular B-complex every now and then! *Blows bubble*

Edit: And you're thinking of Montana. I remember that too, of course. That's when we found out Inorbit wasn't pushing 60. Laughing
