ASCAP is a licencing company. If eisleys or anyones music is played on the radio or preformed at a club by another artist or even if a radio is being played to a large group (say at a store) the artists gets some phat change. Not really, but it dose add up with the radio play with big artists. ASCAP is really just a middle man they count how many times songs are being performed and give a bill to the people playing the songs on the radio or the clubs and then pay a royalty to the artists for the performances of their work. It is a membership thing you cant just join but if you're a member there is some good benifits of it. like getting an awesome 2 dollar check. |

or 2 million dollar check if you have songs played all over Radio and MTV....ASCAP represents a significant amount of income for artists and songwriters with "hit songs". which is why Eisley needs to be on the radio more...whether people think that's cool or not. |

This is gonna add a whole new dimension to the OGG Discography section... What's "The Dragon Song"? Do you think they mean "They All Surrounded Me"? _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |
