i dunno why so many people dislike this song...i mean i guess i can understand the "it's the first one i heard" reason....but i think it's the perfect song to see the evolution of Eisley's sound...i mean, just take the very very old version...the EP version..and the Room Noises version to see it for yourself..it's pretty cool i think _________________ |

I don't think I'd ever get sick of it. But then again, its not like I listen to them 24/7. If I did, then it may be possible to get sick of it. But its a good song. |

It's my least favorite song on Room Noises, but it's not my least favorite song ever. _________________ I know how I was born and I know that I have no choice. I know it may not show on the color of my skin, but I know it’s in my heart and in my soul. –Sara Quin |

it was the first one i heard...it was acoustic on mtv though...but i then went to yahoo launch...then it was the first song i heard...again ...it sounds so much different to me than most of the other songs on the cd...so i usually skip it...not that is a bad song...i like it...but if it was like...at the end...or the beginning or something i would listen to it...cause then the "mood" changes wouldnt change so much...if you catch my drift |

for me its like when weezer fans get all snobby about pinkerton being the best and how the rest suck...thats not really true...the others are not the worst ever and they are still good...even if its not your fave... telescope eyes was the first eisley song I heard in full..and I'll always love it and it will always be great even if I have moved on to liking other songs.... just my 2 cents _________________ my flickr |

Yeh know. I started loving it again after seeing them. It's a very very good song. Sometimes I listen to the older versions just to stop it getting slightly over-played. _________________ She is handsome, she is pretty, she is the girl from Belfast City, she is courtin' one two three, please won't you tell me who is she? 'Telescope Eyes' was the first song I heard too. It's a good song, not saying it isn't. But I think that happpens with a lot of music; how you put a song on repeat or whatever and you can't stop listening to it until your ears realize, "What am I listening to?" and you just get sick of it and the song loses its magic, you know? I mean, music is good, no doubt about that but, I guess we shouldn't over-indulge ourselves with one song and play it all the time because then it just becomes routine, and I think the main idea of music is to treat one with something out of the ordinary. I'm a big Eisley fan and, even then, there's times when I stop listening to them and move to other music for a while - days at a time (I think I've gone like 2 weeks before too). But it's awesome because when I go back and listen to the EPs and Room Noises, I realize that I still have the same love for their music as I initially did, and it continues to grow. It's trully 'marvelous'. Also my two cents on it. _________________ "Hypnotizing, blinding, your love collides and binds me..." |

It's ok. I mean, it's ok to like it... and to be over it. Radiohead was over Creep the same year it came out. Eisley was over T.E.'s before it was re-introduced on the full length. The John Goodmanson version on the ep was # 24 most played on the Dallas rock station and had a 98% approval rating; the new version got virtually no radio play. Dallas was over it and WB didn't push it. I'm sorta glad. btw. They recorded the song first on their first indie ep... way back in 2001 or 02. I can't remember it's so long ago. Do you think the band is over it? ha ha.... But that's normal i think. Not dissin' the tune. And there you have it... more inside moments you never asked for. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead.
