So, what's your preference? I've just started up again and I am finding that pens are just more comfortable for me. And also help me with precision because you can't just erase a mistake.

Thank goodness. Laughing

I went with pens for the same reason. Much more comfortable.

i prefer pens, mostly cuz i always have one w/me, so i'm used to it. But also because the lines are darker.

Laughing

Tablet. Very Happy

Otherwise, I have been into using pens. Felt tipped (good) especially. I haven't used a proper pencil for drawing in a while. In fact, I don't recall the last time I used any pencil at all ... though sometimes I use a blue pencil to rough in things.

Also, more specifically, what kind of something are you using?

I use TUL gel retractable pens with a fine point because they are the only pens I've used that don't give me a hand cramp and because I use them for my writing too. Figure, why buy more than one type of item when they work perfectly for both?

I have a Bamboo Fun small tablet. I often use ballpoint pens of any variety. Usually "inky" ones that don't splotch. I love these DEF felt tip markers ... or are they EF? I dunno. But I only have two, and I think I have to give up on them. ha.

I started drawing in pen a couple of years ago to force myself to do better linework.
