That's pretty funny about the Canadian border crossing! I'll bet the Customs "officer-lady" did get quite a laugh from seeing all the PJ'd siblings- It probably reminded her of a scene from The Sound of Music =lol

Boyd, too bad you were so busy shuffling credentials and trying to sweet-talk Customs, THAT would have been an awesome photo op ! Wink Glad it was relatively 'payneless".
My wife and i took a friend's son to an airshow in Ontario about 10 years ago, crossing into Windsor,Canada from Detroit. (and this was long before 9/11 and beefed up security). We had done it many times before by ourselves or with only our own kids..
we had no ID for the boy (he was about 10 yrs old at the time) and his parents were both away from home for the weekend, which is why we were taking him with us.. We were taking him to the airshow with us so he wouldn't have to hang with a babysitter and 3 siblings for the weekend. But Canadian Customs figured maybe we were trying to kidnap him (" No good deed goes unpunished...") so we got stuck in the Customs office for an hour trying to explain the whole thing! they even seperated him from us to get "his side of the story"... any way, after a lot of explaining and a few phone calls, and Customs reading us the riot act for being so naive about transporting kids across the border, they finally sent us on our way. We'll never do THAT again Rolling Eyes

Hope EISLEY enjoys Canada, but please hurry home to your waitng fans in the States! Looking forward to seeing you all soon in Detroit.

Canada has a gate code? This is new information for me. Is it like those gates that guard pools where you punch in the little numbers?

A lot of bands complain about Canadian border crossing and customs and all that. It's always been so painless for me. But, then again, I suppose the fact that they have these large buses hauling a lot of people and a lot of equipment would invoke such a reaction from the Canadian border crossing peeps.

The dogs chatted you up?

Canada is a silly place. I don't think it's real.

Tabernac!!!well, the Sharks lost. Its going to be just a tiny bit tough
now,... but i think they can win 4 straight..........right.......

If they lose the series then i will be rooting for Les Canadiens.

Seriously if i could i would move to a big hockey city like Montreal just to experience a whole sity hockey mad! it must be amazing to be surrounded by so many hockey fans!!
I would probably die of joy..ha......I still may do it someday. Wink

where the canadian guards whereing canadian suits, being of full denim. cause thats hilarious and also terrible looking at the same time.

why does it seem like bands always struggle to cross te border yet I have college friends at buffalo who go over no problem just to drink and gamble at casinos legally, what an odd system.

hahaha I love your ''tabernac'', You should come one day everyone is happy when the habs win and everyone is sad when the habs lose.
And now in the play off you see habs flags everywhere it's crazy. people sing hockey song, a lot of bands from quebec write some song just for hockey.. it's really crazy here haha , Ho and I hope that your team win the series cause I don't really like stars..and sharks deserve to win!

My favorite border crossing story was Mae's. They weren't even trying to go to Canada, they were late, and they just wanted to turn around. They were asked why they wanted to be in Canada. They said they didn't want to be in Canada, they just wanted to turn around. They had to get out and have everything searched before they could go. It probably wasn't so funny to them at the time. Smile They weren't in a bus, but they did have a trailer.
