Everyone has different thresholds and needs for caloric intake, so I tried to be pretty expansive in my list of options. Factors like weight, muscle mass, metabolism, and physical activity all contribute to our optimum intake for maintaining weight (or lost or gaining weight for those who need to). If my poll misrepresents you, you can always be more specific if you like.

10,000 CALORIES

Just kidding. I'm not exactly sure, though I think it's somewhere around 2,000. I've become a vegetarian within the past six months, and lately I've switched to soy products for a lot of things. I'll check the numbers. I'm interested to see what they'd be on a diet based on soy stuff.

I'm not sure if all those are joke answers, answers from anorexics, or answers from very small people.

nobody should really be taking in less than 1200 calories a day unless they are leading one heck of a sedentary lifestyle. Myself, I aim for about 1300.

I used to be really careful with how many calories I ate, but since I've been in university it's been grilled cheeses & fries every day and I've gained 5 pounds. Sad So yeah, my diet is gross... but I'm pretty sure I still eat under 2000 because I usually end up only having time for one meal a day. Ate my first yesterday at 10:30 p.m. Fun times.

So, I'd guess 1000-1500.

Around 2000 usually. Probably less since I started eating oatmeal for breakfast every day.

Well I'm going to say somewhere between 2-3000. I have no idea. Depends on how much candy and junk food I eat throughout the day.

I really don't know. But I'm not unhealthy, I just don't see the need for me to keep track of how many calories I consume because I maintain a very stable weight. I've been within 5 lbs of 175 for the last 2 or 3 years. Before that I was as much as 210, then I cut out trans fat from my diet and started being aware of what I ate.
