Just took an online typing test for fun.

This was my one minute average:

Net Speed: 70 WPM
(words/minute)
Accuracy: 93%
Gross Speed: 75 WPM
(words/minute)

A lot better than I remember what I would get in primary and secondary school (I guess trolling message boards has it's advantages).

Check it out at www.typingtest.com

First try:

Net Speed: 60 WPM
Accuracy: 92%
Gross Speed: 65 WPM

I'm pretty tired and slightly intoxicated, so I'll try it again tomorrow. I think I can do better.

EDIT: Net Speed: 71 WPM
Accuracy: 95%

I got 61 wpm and I forgot the other numbers a few minutes after waking up. I'll have to try again later. I think I'm getting faster and more accurate, at least!

57 wpm

I feel okay about that! I think I can type much faster if I am not copying something.

Back in 6th grade, I was able to type 100+ WPM... cause I spent so much time on the computer. It was sad. Oh well.

That's not bad considering I have to click buttons on an onscreen keyboard to type. In high school I was able to type 65 WPM or so.

I bet I'm really bad. People burst out laughing when they watch me type. I type with two fingers basically but I'm actually pretty fast with it. I'm too afraid to try and be shamed though, haha.

When I know exactly what I want to type I type much much faster. When I'm copying something that's on a piece of paper infront of me, I slow down... now when I'm copying something that's on the screen, it's all incredibly slow...

Bad.

I'm definitely faster when I'm not reading off the screen though. Probably 60 or so when I get in the groove. I was around 45 with this thing though.

Ok this is after like 20 tries, and I don't know what happened, but I was ripping it up! I'd say my average through those 20 or so tries is around 70 wpm net, but here is my personal best, and I am stopping now because I don't think I could better it.
