Well, the Line-up is set and the Route is good to go. Sadly no Eisley Sad

But we get Cornerstone and the Mini-Mid Tour so it's all good.

Now, here's a question?

Of the single men on the board, who is going, and are you going as part of an Enclave, or man-ing up and going solo? Confused

I don't know if I'll go if it's just me, regardless of how many acts I like. I do the same for all other shows too, so it's not really a gender thing. But I think it's more glaring when gender is a factor.

Married guy here, but I will give my two cents worth anyway. Wil - pick option 3 - ask some lady friend to go with you.

Makes sense, but a part of me would feel like a total douche turning Lillith Fair into a date night, but only because I'm not even in the market, still nursing "the old wound" per Lancelot in Excalibur.

And of course, in my head, any group of guys who show up at Lillith Fair together instantly look like and feel like a Fraternity in my head. At a Radiohead show this is not the case, but at Lillith the context's warps my perspective and makes anything male dominated feel Douchie*, no pun intended.

*somehow that term has become indispensable in this day and age. It has replaced nimrod, jerk, tool, a-hole, and d-head as the pejorative tern if choice for a dude.

Yes. Even though it might be more fun to go with someone, I would go it alone. No arguing over which act to catch if there are multiple stages is one advantage. I've been to a few shows with an 80% female audience (e.g. Indigo Girls) and it's not like they stare, point, and say "What is HE doing here??" As Kristin Hersh observed, it's an absurd double standard to believe women write songs for women and men write songs for people.

I wish there was more RAWK on the bill though, that's what was disappointing about the original incarnation too. Neutral

Oh yeah, forgot to link the new RS article with full out lineup and tour dates:

Lilith Fair Unveils Complete Dates; Rihanna Joins Fest on July 12th

^ have you seen the college kids these days??? Laughing

They're all rocking full beards (sheesh, there's a high schooler that's the kid of a coworker of mine and his sophmore year he was already looking like a viking!)

So many of the kids look like Zach Galifinaikis (spellcheck THAT mozilla!) anymore, or Chris Carrabba, Ben Gibbard, or Dane Cook, you know, people our ages...

But my point is, if I rephrase it will make more sense. Older Guys would look like Frat Alumni
