I know i have asked before, but I guess i don't want specific numbers.
I know the fire kite ep sold out.

but did the valley and deep space ep sell what tehy had hoped? better?
what about merriment and sucre?

do they still see room noises and combinations selling?

these are things I would like to know you know?

I've always felt that for artists not doing well enough where their Billboard & soundscan figures aren't covered by the press in charts etc, that is the equivalent of asking a woman her weight or a man the size of his endowments.

understood.
but certainly charting isn't the end all goal right?
they have projected figures and sale numbers they would want to see, but those might not jize with chart numbers.

i dont know. like i said, i dont specific answers. i dont need to know how many copies of combinations sold. i just want to know how they stack with what they anticipated.

heck we all know they are not getting rich from cd sales.

I mention the charts because they're compiled from all the stats that Nielsen puts together from Soundscan, in addition to radio and streaming. They sell that data and the only stuff they give away freely is for the money makers, hence the Top 200 charts, Heatseekers, and Top 10s. It's like credit scores, you have to pay to get the full lowdown.

I seem to remember Sucre doing well on itunes . . . Now if they got just get Apple to push it a little bit more (that commercial had me thinking!). Free song of the week or something, all it needs is a little exposure and I'm pretty sure people would be in awe.

I got the impression that The Valley sold very well with regards to their expectations. I remember Boyd posting that it sold almost as well as Combinations during its first week, which amazed him because they were now on an indie. And he reported that the band was excited too, the crux being "yay we can make another one," something to that effect. So whatever they were hoping for, I think it achieved.
