Well, actually, I read in an interview that HM did with Eisley and Stacy said it was about a father who wasn't around when his daughter when she was growing up... I'm wondering if this parallels with Kayla at all... I need to find that interview. _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R. Kelly approves of peeing in the shower. I don't know, I know quite a few people who are made of gumdrops. But yeah, Stacy said in the interview that it was a made-up story about what I explained up there. But I can't help but wonder about the last part. It may have nothing to do with it but it makes me curious if she may have drawn some inspiration from it. I'm just guessing though. _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R. Kelly approves of peeing in the shower. The world is R. Kelly's shower. It's a golden world. My guess it was about Christie growing up and them being out on the road and not seeing her. Then again, first time I heard the song was in Canton at a show - the beat immediately stood out to me and I never forgot it - and that was before the Laughing City EP was even released, right (so they may not have had the long tours yet)? Been toooooo long. _________________ I am Torgo. I take care of the place while the Master is away. |

Hope it's not too lame to post the review I wrote myself, but here it is. It's the first piece I've written in a while, and my first album review. http://sevensixtyeight.com/2011/02/22/musical-darlings-eisley-emerge-w ith-the-valley/ If you could, I dunno, leave some comments/rate/like/share it that would be cool too. |

^ I really like the review! It's not too long but not too short either. A good way to build some intrigue for people who don't know about them... _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R. Kelly approves of peeing in the shower. The world is R. They seem like prime candidates - should get a cover imo. _________________ I am Torgo. I take care of the place while the Master is away. |

AbsolutePunk.net gave them an whopping 90% grading and a very thoughtful review, I thought. http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=2196371 Plus, the comments below it are just as positive. _________________ "I cannot discuss your verses; for any attempt at criticism would be foreign to me.
