i really really like Smarter. I think it is the most real song Sherri has ever written. And, given the inspiration behind it, i think it is great. i love the word play. the flow and the guitar. one of the best she has ever done. imagine this is the same girl who wrote mr pine. mr pine to smarter. my how they (she) have grown. _________________ Wil's excellent description of me. wilsmith wrote: You're the Anti-Censorship+Topless Twitpic Parodying+Youth Group Video Directing guy that's a champion for the 1st amendment, Videogames as Art, and unrepentant file sharing... I love Stacy's "OK" at the beginning of Oxygen Mask. And I like how the last 30 seconds or so of Mr. Moon remind me of something out of a Tim Burton movie. And I like the "stick-it-to-'em-ness" of Sad. You think she's gonna be the one who's sad but then she throws in that "FOR YOU." Like ha! Joke's on you, bitch! Oh, and all of Watch it Die. So much so that I often skip past the first two songs. |

I agree with this wholeheartedly. I love the lyrics, even though it probably won't end up being my favorite song on the album. I honestly can't pick a favorite so far. The songs are all solid. Smarter, lyrically, is applicable to my life, so it will most likely be on repeat in my car, if my damn package ever comes. _________________ Clear Eyes, Full Hearts: Can't Lose! |

After the initial listens it'd be Sad, Kind, and Mr. Moon. At first I thought I wasn't extremely into Oxygen Mask, but the second half is beyond incredible. _________________ "The artist, like the God of creation, remains within or behind or beyond or above his handiwork, invisible, refined out of existence, indifferent, paring his fingernails."(J.Joyce) |

Forgive me if this has previously been asked and answered, but does Chauntelle sing on the Better Love chorus? I feel like I can hear her voice, but it could just be the mixture of Sherri and Stacy messing with my ears. _________________ Clear Eyes, Full Hearts: Can't Lose! |

No, but she sings the "Make me a better love..." part leading up to the chorus. _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R. Kelly approves of peeing in the shower. The world is R. That's what I meant. Thanks! _________________ Clear Eyes, Full Hearts: Can't Lose! |

I'm really enjoying all the songs on the album. The one that leapt out at me upon first listen was Kind. There's both a happiness and sadness to the song and I still get shivers from it on occasion. And I have to point out the "I, I" to start out Please is just insanely cool |

Ok, I think I've narrowed my absolute favorites down to 3: Watch It Die, I Wish, and Mr. Moon. Chauntelle on Watch It Die, OH MY GOSH. I Wish is just fantastic and I love the alternating Stacy/Sherri lines on the verses. Mr. Moon literally gives me chills. Not many songs do that, but the ones that do I absolutely love. I think it may be my top favorite, but I also think that this list will change. I seriously love every song so much and there's not much separating my favorites from my least favorites. I am just blown away by this album. |
