there are a few people at my work that i want to make an Eisley cd for so i was going to post asking about a good track set to include for them but it got me thinking.

everyone knows an Eisley dvd would be awesome. Why don't we ( the forum ) put a DVD/CD set together? there's *plenty* of footage/clips/vidoes out there that Boyd has made and there's a good number of indie tracks ( EP1 and EP2) out there that we could put on the CD without freaking out the label. Maybe we could even get them to "donate" a couple tracks off the labeled EPs.

Technically i don't see any roadblocks. I know a production studio ( i'm friends with the owner ) that could answer all our questions about dvd authoring and production.

Distribution would be easy.. just dl the finished iso's, burn them, and give them to your friends. Also, don't forget about Jamie's Ezine. We could include the set along with Issue2.

Costs wouldn't be too much.. a box of cd's is pretty cheap and a box of dvd's can't be too much ( though i have no idea ). dvd burners aren't very common so we'd have to get a "dvd burner club" together or something. A paypal donation account may not be a bad idea to offset the media cost.

Imagine talking to someone new and telling them about eisley and they say "ok what do they sound like" and you hand them a DVD of 4 or 5 live performances they can play on their TV and a CD of 4 or 5 songs for their car/computer. they would be blown away.

At the very least an "intro to eisley cd" is something i'm going to do for the people at my work but i think the whole concept is pretty solid.

interesting, i like this concept. but what would be a solid representation of Eisley from earlier tracks? Mr. Pine? Telescope Eyes? They All Surround Me? such a tough decision....
do some of these live performances count? cuz man, Golly Sandra has got to be on there if at all possible. Maybe the band should poop out some tracks on a little 8-track or something. nothing fancy, just whatever tracks get decided on. i don't know........
either way i wanna help
