So I suddenly find myself with a $15 gift card to Hastings that I had bought for somebody but never had a chance to give them, and I probably won't be seeing them again anytime soon. But there are so many good albums out right now............ so I turn to you guys for advice.

This is probably also the last CD I'll be getting for a while, so it had better be good. Wink

I would say to buy Bjork's Medulla if you do not have it. I bought it as my first Bjork album and really enjoy it. However, since you do not have Jeff Buckley's Grace I would say to buy that... I just bought it recently... in case you feel too far behind.

From a list like that there really is no choice. If you don't own Grace, then you should consider it your duty to buy it!

May sound a bit strict, but you'll thank us in the long run Wink

Anyone who claims to love music and yet does not own Jeff Buckley's Grace must instantaneously be written off as a poser.

Ok, maybe not a poser, but they are surely missing out on one of the best albums ever.

Seriously. Get Grace.

One thing to consider about getting Grace: Jeff Buckley's dead, so he wouldn't be getting any money from it, and the album's been out since 1994 so the record company has undoubtedly been recouped by now. So would there be anything wrong with downloading it? I mean some people would call it stealing -- but from whom?

Oh and thanks for the suggestions, keep 'em coming. From what I've heard on the other two message boards I posted this on (Copeland and Thrice's) I'm leaning toward Futures, but I do trust you guys' musical taste a little more....

(By the way, I was thinking about putting Kid A on that list but decided not to because, well that's just not very fair to the other candidates. Wink)

see the thing about grace is you should get the extended version.
i think it's out.... but i'm not sure.
i seem to remember a box set of some kind coming out.

so i'd say either grace or the new elliott.
either way, you'd win.
