 Post subject: so.. for this tour and stuff.... anyone else excited to seePosted: Thu Apr 15, 2004 4:15 am 
the other acts too?! I checked out Richard Swift's website, and really dug the mp3's he had on there... i'm hoping that he's got a good live show, and i'm almost more excited to see what he's got than I am to see what eisley's got (almost, but not quite..     )

his show is amazing. And I'm not just saying that cause he's a friend of mine. Anyone I've ever introduced to him, loves his live show. The band is amazing, made up of phenomenal musicians. You'll enjoy it — I don't know if you'll like it more than the Eisleys — but you'll like it. _________________ "It's the new golden fact." |

I totally dig his sound... the whole weird moldy sultry ragtime-reminiscent sound totally drug me in... The worst part is... when bands like these open for bands I know and like, i'm always amazed at how many good bands there are out there that I don't even know about.. and will probably never know about.. when crappy flash-pan bands are shoved in the limelight, and burned into your retinas.. but I suppose that's good in a way, otherwise the 'good' bands would probably take on the role of the 'flash-pan' bands, and as a result, they would probably gain the fate as well.. (depending on how good they are I suppose).. but yeah.. hrm.. i'm mondo excited about this show.. almost more so than I am for coachella... buuuut.. radiohead's playing at coachella (which does it for me) so that kinda sinches my excitedness (that's a word right?)... _________________ "strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others." ~Joseph Conrad ---------------

I am really excited to see this show. I have some friends who know Richard Swift as well and have told me he is amazing. I am really exicted to see Eisley and Richard Swift... but also I am really excited to see Annie Stela as well. I heard she is also playing and I have seen her before... I really like her stuff. She was one of the opening acts for Damien Rice at the Henry Fonda theatre last year (another amazing concert). Annie stela has really beautiful music and you can hear a few songs on her website if you want. I have lost a lot of sleep thinking about this concert and I have even found myself talking to the mirror... going through the things I would say if I got to talk to the guys and gals in Eisley. That sounds really pathetic... I know but they seem like the kind of people you would like to get to know... well I know it has been said, but I'll say it again... this is going to be one heck of a show. _________________ Thank you for the great music Eiesley... this may sounds corny but... some day I hope I can be friends with you guys. Until then keep writing great music. |

the more I think about it... the more I think i'll be surprised by the number of people going.. I have a 200-ish figure stuck in my head... and I think that might happen... but I dunno.. like I said.. i'll probably be surprised.. it'll be interesting to see heh.. alright gentelmen.. how many people do YOU think will show up at the eisley shows in california... I know I'll be at the San Fran one (+2 more). I can see a couple hundred people showing up to each venue, but I think the quality of the fans attending is more important than the quantity of the people being there. We can help bring the forum atmosphere to the shows for those who couldn't make it. _________________
