I agree with your review for the most part. The arrangements of the songs are great (except for the new Telescope Eyes). The artwork and layout out very cool. The overall sound quality, at least to me and other audiophiles, is wretched, way too digital for my ears. Protools recordings make me cringe. It's just not the way music was meant to be heard. Well, Don't think the song does not belong there simply because its not one of their most "catchy." Bands like this put great attention to what songs they put on their albums. For instance, Radiohead's OK Computer has a common thread of background noise and the speed of life. The last song on OK Computer, "The Tourist," was no included just because its a great song, but rather because it offered the album resolution. I haven't heard Eisley's new album, I'm sure I will soon enough, but try to put the song in the context of the entire albums purpose. I could be wrong, but blah. Just a thought. --Kurt |
