I "think I remember" hearing about Eisley some years back, but I never actually heard anything from them, so I had absolutely no idea what they sounded like. But, tonight I had the utmost pleasure of hearing the song "I Wasn't Prepared," and I must say that a song has not evoked the emotion I felt while listening to it since I heard "Breathe" on "Dark Side of the Moon" for the first time. About the website, I was very pleased to see that credit was given to whom credit was due, namely, The Beatles. It eats me alive when bands list all modern bands as influences and completely neglect THE originators of it all. And I was surprised to see that Sherri listed Superdrag as an influence. My band and I grew up in the same hometown as them, so their music is very dear to me. I'm anxious to hear more from your imagination, die Bart die |

Awesome. Welcome. Yes, Eisley is awesome. Very in touch with who made what possible musically, and their influences. And they're darn wonderful people, to boot. Make sure to stick around, because this is a wonderful place (unlike many message boards). _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

dieBartdie... a great username, indeed. So...dBd, what is your current awareness level? or...where did you hear that tune? Do you have "Laughing City" and "Marvelous Things" ep's? What about the old tunes from indie eisley? Dude, that was a seriously great review; woah...you gave the song the highest rating possible...on the shelf with Pink Floyd. omgosh. Wait, you're from Tyler? no way. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. I love what you named this thread... personally I had heard OF eisley but didn't really hear or was interested in them until I saw them in seventeen (my step sister has a subscription and I get bored sometimes) they mentioned tolkien, trees, and drawing and I was officially hooked.... I love hearing what different people think of/how they got into eisley... _________________ my flickr |
