Boyd informs me that Dr. Weston is currently scrubbing up to perform the delicate surgery of replacing the Powerbook's spiderwebbed LCD screen. Hopefully he will be successful, and now that the DuPree residence once again has power, Boyd will be on the forum once the operation is a success (or a failure But there's no real chance of failure. If Weston decides he can't do it, it's a simple matter to bring it elsewhere and have an apple certified tech do it. Unless he like, catches it on fire. Which is possible, because he's so hot. UPDATE: Weston didn't break it! It's functioning! (With a little duct tape help) You see, the top part of the screen case (apple logo) is very very delicate, it's gotta be like less than a milimeter thick. It's almost impossible, apparently, to remove it without doing a little bit of damage. So damage was done! But duct tape saved the day! LONG LIVE THE ROCK N ROLL POWERBOOK |

"Dr....Doctor...how is he? Is he ok? did he...did he....I mean, you know..." "well, there's good news and bad news... oh, he's alive (sigh)...but, I'm afraid he'll never be the same. Oh, he'll act fine and be able to function like a normal compu-boy, but....well, I'm afraid I butchered him a little during surgery. BUT don't worry! Plastic surgery fixed everything.... I patched him up with Duck tape. That's right... oh, and..you can see him now..." _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. one time i was riding in an old school bus in el salvador up a mountain, and the bus broke down. we were stranded on a mountain miles and miles away from anything, without any hope. but then the bus driver fixed the bus with duct tape, so we moved on. it was nice. _________________ Facebook & Twitter & Blog(ish)-type thing |

Stay alive, Weston, no matter what occurs--and I will find you. ...or...some other quote that might work better in this situation. _________________ If the end of the world has proper noodles I'll probably be okay with it. |

duct tape holds the world together, and without it, we would all die in many different ways at once. i might start a duct tape religion... _________________ http://www.audioscrobbler.com/user/Gameboybob/ http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=gameboybob http://www.myspace.com/thegameboy |
