I just watched pi not to long ago, and the guy (?) believed there where patterns for everything in nature with math. hmm... _________________ are you a member of the slaves to their members? |

it's ok kris, you can't help it.. however, as all rules of thumb go, not everyone (or everything) adhears to them.. so you're alright (in my book at least)  however, keep in mind the fact that i've never met you in real life, so I've got nothing true to make sure hehe 
oh and scott, I love Pi, that's one of my favorite movies.. but, you know, math is the universal language (as far as we can tell so far) so it kinda makes sense.. it would be really hard to find those patters, especially with our intellect and limited ways of looking at things, but you know.. one day we may unlock all of the secrets to the universe (we just have to hope that a whole bunch more pour out as we do.. i've got my fingers crossed ) _________________ "strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others." ~Joseph Conrad ---------------

Okay so I'm pretty sure that that mathematical formula was the most insightful, poignant, and humorous thing I've seen this year. Maybe even the past 10 years. Okay...probably not. |

while we're on the subject of Pi and Contact..... Dr. Eleanor Arroway (a.k.a. Jodie Foster) says that in Base 11 arithmetic there is an anomaly where it (pi) can be written out as 0's and 1's for a long period... and "if you make that into a square raster, an equal number across and down." The lines would create what appeared to be a perfect circle... thus proving that the creator is a mathematician and this would give credit to the mathematical equation of girls being evil
note: this, i believe to be fiction

i don't know which is worse. you posting about base 11 math or me wanting to write out pi in base 11 and try it out. me=geek personally i think that God is a musician and mathematics was created so that we could easily number chords (ergo Gmajor7th), because without math there would be no numbers and without numbers how would we say Gmajor7th? |
