Once again I was blown away by the awesome sounds that Eisley cranked out Sat night. I cannot wait to hear them again and to get recordings of all the new songs. EISLEY IS TRULY AMAZING! |

i can tell you that i have seen many many eisley shows and this was deifinitely one of the best. i have never heard sherri sing so well, which is amazing, because she always sings well...but that show was unbelievable. everyone played well and stacy and sherri sing so freaking beautifully it hurts me sometimes. i'm sure you can all relate. weston and jonathan will soon be the most wonderful rhythm section in rock n roll and chauntelle, well, you are getting more rock n roll all the time. really. thank you eisley for your music. i'm glad i'm your friends. love, mck ....and, the new song and new songs are amazing. if you keep progressing at this rate i might have to chop all of your faces off. |

Fabulous show!!! SO excited to see ya'll! it had been too long! Queen of Leaves was great! and it was good to hear wings andWindows!!! Blackened Cown made me happy, as did Silver Bugs... and i never noticed that it really is kind of country huh... Marvelous things rocks, and is only beat out by Mister Pine and They all Surrounded me! ( my 2 fave songs! ) I do have to say Sara and i really wanted to hear Head against the sky, and or Lullaby... but it was sooo great! Great to see you all, and hang out with everyone! ok, so in light of what boyd has written at the top... ^ ...ahem. guys, i've watched you all from what has probably been the beginning. i've seen the highs (early door shows, mosslakes, COLDPLAY!) i've seen the lows (man that sound system out at commerce was horrid!) and most of them in between. six years i've been seeing you all play. and i have to say that this show was my favorite's ever... better than with coldplay even. i think you played longer than you ever have, which shows you're increasing your endurance as musicians. everything sounded so much tighter and more mature, i could really tell a change. the new songs blow my mind, not just because they are wonderful, but because they are just absolute leaps and bounds beyond anything you've done. i'm so proud of you. i can't wait to see what you all do next. i just sat there in awe listening to everyone cheer, smiling cause i'm so glad i've been able to be a small part of it. _________________ rest in my arms sleep in my bed theres a design to what i did and said piccysssssss |

After the day i could really appreciate the sweet sincerity of the music and it's caused me to have psychological problems.... as you can tell by my multiple posts lately and the randomness of thought in this post specifically.... *ponders on what his initial thought line was* hmmm... now i'm stumped... ah yes... and as therapy I have to set my laptop on a loop and just stare at this forum waiting for new posts to read... and thus ending any chance of being able to study... sulphur springs is truly a horrid town when 1 show can affect my lifestyle this much

And two of those times (one of them this past spring) it was just over to New Mexico (which is a 12+ hour drive by itself). So I've set many feet in Texas. But at least you got a picture. I spent 4.5 hours taking an exam on Saturday... for the state of Texas, as a matter of fact (you see, there's a theme). It has been my experience that seeing Eisley is worth driving over 4 hours and staying in motels. I've made the trip to both Canton and Dallas (both destinations are about 300 miles from here) just to see them. I typically don't care for "mellow" rock acts or songs live... but there's something about Eisley. Their presence and music is... captivating I guess. The girls' singing is like that of the Sirens... minus the deadliness. The very first song I heard by them (Over the Mountains... during the Houston Coldplay show) just sucked me in... particularly the chorus of oohs and ahhs. Very cool. And now... after all these rave Trees reviews... I really wish I could have gone. I hope to see the band many more times. After I save up for my car and figure out what the heck I'm going to do with the rest of my life, I'm starting a savings account for concerts. *L* I have drove a few hundred miles to see The Elms. Before this year I was pretty much confined to the Houston area. Unfortunately, this coming school year I'll be a poor, full-time college student once again so the road trips may have to be put on hold. I must admit, this was the first concert where I wasn't front and center, right on the stage. I opted for the balcony this time (which had a great view by the way), since I filmed Eisley's set for a friend who couldn't be there. I've watched the tape about 3 times now. Every time it's over, I feel..well sad, since it's over and all, yet amazed at how spectacular their performance was. They've come such a long way in the short time period-one year- that I've liked them. Brilliant, just brilliant. I only hope that they'll stil play those nice Deep Ellum shows, even though they'll be big and famous. (for good reasons, mind you.) _________________ Marion (Tex) |
