ADVENTURE CLUB ANNIVERSARY SHOW August 9 - Trees ---------------------- "The Adventure Club is one of the longest running new music shows in the US. Every year I throw a birthday party for myself. It usually sells out the venue we throw it at. The AC has won 6 Dallas Observer Awards for best radio show and 2 in the Fort Worth Weekly. It's been nominated for national awards as well." Josh ---------------------- Old 97's ("one of the biggest bands to ever come out of Dallas. They've played on Leno, Conan etc.") Eisley (one of the bands playing this show) Peter Schmidt ("formerly of Dallas favorites LCC and the seminal rock band Funland") Cordelane ("featuring Taylor Reed who was one of my biggest requesting local artists of 2002") I'm told this show will almost assuredly sell out. Just letting you guys know. I'll keep you informed on this very post....(like I did on the tour...I'll just keep adding blurbs below wnen information is made available. Josh should be pumping it on the Edge. I wouldn't know...we can't pick up the station from here in Tyler. I'll also post this on under Eisley blog so we can chat about it. It isn't THAT expensive. I don't understand why people are complaining about that. Tickets for this one are only like 5 or 7 more dollars than the buzz oven show(and the bands are a lot better). Also, just think of it this way(as I am), when Eisley get bigger...it'll be more to see them. My brother used to see Jimmy Eat World all the time for like 6 bucks at Rubber Gloves. Can't do that anymore. I mean, I paid 15 bucks for my ticket. That's pretty ok if you ask me. |

yeah, but they are poor college-aged newlyweds. It might have been more of a too-much-for-our-budget expensive rather than what-are-they-thinking expensive. _________________ "The revolution starts today, not tomorrow." :: got g-Love? |

Hello. I just wanted to show my widdle face in the Eisley world. Haven't been around these parts much lately, but only because I haven't been anywhere much lately. But...like a toaster pastry that isn't quite done yet....I shall pop up again. Like the lady who bought a dress with a broken zipper...I shall return!!! Like Johann Sebastian..."I'll be Bach!" Ohh.. that one hurt..I can't believe I even typed it. My fingers are revolting. It's ok. I still have thumbs so that I can hit the space bar. Speaking of "space bar"... _________________ "Love is all you need." -John Lennon "Love is all you've got." -My brother Bill My Xangaaaaa...(Ricardo Mantaban) http://www.xanga.com/Danelectro |

I can't wait. I'm going just to see Eisley but the GF loves Old97's so I guess I'll have to sit ( or stand ) through their stuff but oh well. oh yeah, does anyone think it would be a problem for me to bring a camcorder to record some footage of the set for an Eisley fan site i'm putting togather? I know some bands/venues don't allow it but I think I remember people at Trees recording shows off the balcony. |

I'm going to have to agree with EisleyForever on this one... The 97's do in fact rock... But then, I'm very likely to agree with him on anything soley based on his avatar. Anyone unfarmiliar with their music is in for a treat. Rhett Miller is a hoss of a songwritter and an all around upright guy. I've spoken with him on many occasions and he is one of the nicest guys ever [blatent name-drop]. Anyway, does anyone know what the lenth of the sets will be? Does every band get an even share, or is there a headliner? _________________ When life gives you lemons, ask where they came from... you don't know where those lemons have been.
