So.....

I remember back a while in one of Boyd;s posts about possibly remixing songs, people mentioned Morning Bell and Morning Bell/Amnesiac. So which do you like better? For me...its Morning Bell/Amnesiac from Amnesiac Smile

I agree, the Amnesiac version is much better. But the band seems to like the original; I suppose it's preferable for a live setting.

Kid A definitely. The Amnesiac version just doesn't go anywhere.

i didn't even know there was two versions of the song.... and i know why now, Thom Yorke is singing in some sort of bastardized english asian mix on the Kid A version. SPEAK STRAIGHT YOU DAMN BRIT!

Yeah the Kid A version is better for two reasons:
1. it's got that sweet drum beat
2. Hannah said the Amnesiac version was better Very Happy

(I like how it sounds on the "I might be wrong ep" as well)

I like the Amnesiac one better. The drums are great, but almost sound forced to me on the Kid A version. It kind of messes up the feeling to me. The Amnesiac one has a better "environment." Though I'd have to say both are good. Smile

I remember Jonny saying something about how it would sound "campy" if they tried the Amnesiac version live.

I prefer the Kid A version, personally. The Amnesiac version does nothing for me, its just kinda there. The Kid A version is downright creepy...the whalesong guitar at the end followed by the electric piano outro just gives me goosebumps all the time.

Morning Bell is one of my favorite Radiohead songs.
the part at the end where Thom starts mumbling(i don't think anyone has ever figured out the lyrics.....i know there are lyrics on websites, but it just doesn't sound like that) and then the "guitar solo" comes in..............all i can say is, "aaaaaaahhhhhhhh"

on the other hand, i like MB/Amn, too. it's one of Radiohead's most layered songs ever.
