ok this just occured to me. so if you have answered it before feel free to link me or what not.

being the father, as you are, what do you think of the words to their songs?
i know they arent bad. some are definitly strange.
do you wonder where they come from?
or do you ever disagree with any of them?

what about ones like "chase me down with your knife, i dont want to die"

or the chorus of blackened crown or even telescope eyes.

as i said just wondered

thats an interesting question... I have often wondered about the words, and I know my mom gives me crap about how flighty some of my lyrics are, it would be interesting to have boyds, and kims thoughts on them.

I think since Boyd and Kim are so into Eisley's music and so supportive, that they take it as their art and what they are thinking... and they probably understand they are just lyrics and they aren't actualling saying those kinds of things. I would assume they know their children and their Jonathan enough to let them write whatever comes out of themselves.

Of course that is my GUESS, and I really have no idea what they think at all. So with that said, good question.

i think, that with Kim and Boyd being just super cool, they let their kids go, give them the freedom they need. They realize their kids are humans too, and that their souls or whatever are reflected in the music.
We're all human, and we all write what we feel, and if you can't accept that, what kind of person are you?
Kim and Boyd are cool, they dig their kids music, and support them in any manor necessary. End of story, next thread...

"chase me down with your knife" (from a song they don't even do anymore), was from a dream that Chauntelle had.
Actually, it was a nightmare.
It was during one of the most difficult times in her life, and, she had lots of things she was dealing with. This fear came out in this dream, and the lyrics to that song, came from that.

Those lyrics, or any that I can think of from their songs, do not bother me in any way.

-How funny we'd find this and weigh in right after each other - 1600 miles
away.

Well, I used to chase Sherri down with my knife... so that's the story on
that one. On blackened crown, i used to make her sit in the corner with a
black crown when she was bad... hmmm... what else.

-no, but...early songs from Eisley were all centered around their need to
express their feelings about how people were hurting around them... you
know, in the world out there...they were sad by hurting people. Look at
early drawings... tears coming out faces, etc. Those songs are almost 5
years old.

Listen closely now... more love songs. Lots of emotion. Same hearts,
different expression.
