I assume Ares is a P2P app... and you're probably finding old songs from their indie released EPs (blackened crown, dream for me, etc etc) that are already available on eisley.com If that's not the case, provide a bit more detail so it can be checked into _________________ |

so those are from their indie EPs? a friend of mine from tyler gave me some recordings they did at his church (pretender was on there) but the recording quality is so much lower than what i'm getting...was that not one of their indie EPs? i'd always assumed it was... |

The songs on Straylight6 are from various places (as noted next to the songs). Some songs are from the 2 indie eps the band put out before getting signed, some are from other recording sessions that were done before they were signed (but they never made it to the indie eps), still others are taken from video that Boyd took at various Eisley shows. hope that helps... DOH!...to answer your other question- Pretender was on their first indie EP, but the band doesn't like the song anymore, so it was dropped from further pressings, and is subsequently harder to find. P. sorry for the double post... _________________ "Enjoy Every Sandwich" - Warren Zevon "What's Life Without Music?" - The Mermaid Purse www.myspace.com/ptah |

i try to keep the mp3 list on straylight6 pretty up to date with whats in the public domain. Obviously i can't put up songs like marvelous things since it was done with the label. The only song i know of thats legal and not on straylight6 is Pretender which i didn't list out of courtesy to the band ( they don't like it ). if songs like plenty of paper and vintage people are showing up on p2p then its already too late to do anything about it but i'm sure a certain label would be interested in how they got there. btw, i check on gnutellla from time to time for indie songs like telescope eyes and mr pine and the number of sources continue to grow and grow. This is good news, more exposure, more listeners. _________________ "Religions have started on lesser revelations" - investor on MarketWatch.com |
