one thing i dislike about texas is all the animal carnage on the roads........i don't even remember seeing any dead animals in tennessee........but tejas.......that's a different story

i guess you could wear a gas mask and walk down the street......you might start a new trend

that's cuz all the ppl in tenn. take the animals home and eat em... buncha hillbilly's...

sherri... your post skizzandled me out... you have 2 GiRTH saying in it...

#1: "BLAY" or pronounced BUUUHHLLAAAY most of the time.... it's the #1 most repeated saying in america... *sigh* adapted from some character from the simpsons that said... blay... ohhhh i hope that I can go back in time and erase that episode someday....

and

#2: "shanks" derived from the word... "thanks" also used in the name of "Shanks Jewelers" which can be seen on a billbord on the way home from deep ellum on I-30..... this world is a scary place for jedi like me.... thanks to incucoldhouse on my jediness... the common usage for this word is... "shanks man"... and say it like you've been looking at juicy sausage for 30 min... and spit is welling up behind your molars...

I've been listening to August and Everything After all day (Sunday). That's how I'm doing. Omaha, Mr. Jones, Rain King, and Raining in Baltimore are the best tracks.

I went into Houston to visit some of my best friends who I don't see frequently. It all ended with me feeling sadder than I've been in a while. Funny how that works out (not "ha ha" funny Wink ).

But I digress. Houston... this thread reminded me of Houston. It has bad air AND is in Texas. But I miss living there. Not because of the city, but because it reminds me of a certain time in my life. It's my second home... and I miss home too. Funny how that works out as well.

OK, that's my obligatory "too much information" post of the month.

I know what you mean.... I listen to certain radiohead songs and feel really giddy... but friends always tell me it makes them depressed... which reminds me when I was working once, I was playing OK computer... and exit music was playing... and a dude told me to turn it off or else i'd commit suicide... yet... when I listen to songs like that... and some off the bends... I smile and start techno dancing... *shrug*

houston works on you the same way (I guess)... and when I see eisley live... I feel really sad too... but then I get back on the forum.. and I feel happy... happy is such a good word... has a nice sound to it because of the "appy" and the "h" just makes it kinda.... 'happy' in a of montreal sort of way... *happy monkey dance* ah... the happy monkey dance... made so much better because of the word happy... *smile* thank you so much eisley forum

When I came back from a week in LA once, I had to change my contacts two months early because they'd gotten so smoggy. Ew.
Out of curiosity, can you put air filters in your car's air contitioning thingies? Someone could make quite a catchy bit selling those to big city folks. You could make them create different air scents and everything. I know I'd buy lots.
Did you know that people actually sell air? Yes, in certain places that I've forgotten exactly where, you may purchase scented and flavored air by the liter for your stationary breathing pleasure. It's like something almost straight out of Brave New World.
Come to think of it, I suppose hospitals charge you for any oxygen they administer, so maybe that air thing isn't so odd when one thinks of it in that light, except that that's pure oxygen as opposed to scenting/flavoring the everyday everywhere stuff.

sorry, guess I've seen "Conspiracy Theory" one too many times.
It's effectively rerouted my normal course of brain stem synaptic activity.
It's now cortextual in nature and is projecting visceral
images of a non-visual nature. Confused Twisted Evil

But see now you've sparked my curiosity... is that hospital oxygen actually thought to cause cancer? Or maybe you just made that up because it really is amusing, in an ironical sort of way.

Completely made up on my part. But it seems like that all those studies
where they inject rats with mega doses of (insert substance here) result
in cancer. So it seems likely that if patients were to overdose on oxygen,
the cancer rates might be elevated. Interesting theory, anyway. "Air" the
newest carcinogen. Shocked
