well i dont know anything about jocks or cheerleaders, i'm English. so i cant comment. the whole point is people seek different qualities in a partner, boyd has stated his and others have stated theirs. whether boyd was actually being serious is another matter, some how i doubt it. maybe it was meant to be taken lightheartedly and in jest, regardless of stereotypes and whatever. personally if he was serious then i disagree, but i dont think for one minute that Boyd owes anyone an appology. incidently this is the first heated discussion i have seen on this board, i find it quite ammusing, when you actually read back thru what you people are arguing about you may agree. and that poor kitten _________________ "A mathematician is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat which isn't there." - Charles Darwin (legend) |

yeah i realized how silly it all was. that's why i thought i'd throw a kitten in there. and i like to think he made it edit: just now, looking at the picture again, that look of determination on the kitten's face... he definitely made it. _________________ hello. |

first off: boyd, thank you for the comment about my avatar. as you can tell is is a sign depicting someone running from an object that is enflamed. it might be another person, we simply dont know. i capped it from the radiohead dvd: meeting people is easy. i dunno why, i just thought it was cool. it's one of those european type signs that just doesnt make any sense to us...probably. secondly (which isnt really even a word i dont think...but i use it anyway): Sherri, you said youre painting the names of all these people on gravel. Are you like one of those people in the mall or on south padre island, or down the jersey shore on the boardwalk that paints someones name on rice for a nominal fee? if so. that's just frickin cool. that is all. Sorry for mocking jocks and cheerleaders. I dated a cheerleader in highschool and...I'm sort of a jock. You should see me throw a football. My humor gets me in trouble. I see Troy's point... but I saw his point well before all the defensive angst. I know it goes both ways. I have deep thoughts on all this, but...you know, as a great american philosopher once said, "whatever". I'm sleepy; didn't mean any harm or to dis' his fam'. We're nothing special. sheesh. On a lighter note, the avitars are improving; pass the gravel and how 'bout them bears? _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead.
