can someone send me a private llink to such a song? both trackings - and I emphasize 2, have split piano and... wait. I'm listening to the LC version now. sherri's voice sounds pretty ok, but the new one is way better vocally. second verse sounds similar. New version is slightly faster. the old version has interesting guitar plunks on one of every measure... here's the bridge... piano solo....second half is only vocals on top of piano. No guitar like on new version. Also new version has big strings and layering. Fatter, builds more. Both are good in my opinion. Second compromises nothing but is bigger without seeming overworked. oh wow... the old Telescope Eyes now... hmmm. no comment. for that song, i just need a shovel and a nice plot. j.k. we'll soon find out what that song's destiny will be. But you know what? it's a good thing this didn't get releaseed. not only are the chords the same as Snow Patrol's "Run"...but it's the same meter. Over the Mountains...ahhhh....i'm in heaven. gotta go. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. I will always, always, always sing "freak" along with Telescope Eyes at the appropriate part since, you know, that's what the lyrics are supposed to be. </slightlyrandom> _________________ "The revolution starts today, not tomorrow." :: got g-Love? |

it's the laughing city...of course. But, unmixed? how could it have gotten out? the producer mixed it the week after. hmm...sounds good.... love this song. oh....i remember now, YES! we added the piano thing after...felt like it needed more pause before the emotional storm. Same song... recorded in 4 hours beginning to end from midnight till 4am as an afterthought. Wonder how it leaked. Looks like we'll have to hire a killin', shivin', posse. bowid you can quote me on that thread ifn u wunt. i have to get back to work |

I have at least one Matthew that I'd hate to hate, so it's not a general dislike of Matthews, just the Matthew formerly in Telescope Eyes. heh _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |
