I usually listen to Eisley here

on this hammock

But ever since winter started I have been inside trying to keep warm.
It seems there is like a storm happening here in southern California so the hammock is wet and the trees are all drippy and cold and it's not very sanctuary-y right now.

I have been stuck indoors so I just listen to them in the silence of my sisters room
(my room has no doors and one GIGANTIC sliding glass door to the backyard so it's cold and privacyless)

Just out of curiosity...does anyone else have a little Eisley Sanctuary?

or for the Eisley members....do you have your own sanctuary to listen to music?

I like to listen in the car, while driving on country roads in East Texas - a thing that will soon end when I return to College Station...

At school, I listen to them on my portable CD player at a little coffeehouse named Sweet Eugene's... I can also be found drawing while I am there, usually...

I don't listen in the room because my room-mate and suite-mates are blasting their music - bad rap or other unsavory types of music... So, I usually find a secluded spot if I want to listen while I am on campus...

that is so sad.
Crying or Very sad
You have to not listen to Eisley in your room because of rap!?
that is like the worste thing ever.
and I would definetely consider a coffee shop a sanctuary...I'm not a big fan of coffee but drawing, listening to music and the nice warm smell of coffee is comforting.

It's really not as bad as I make it sound... Anyhow, I would rather not listen in my little box of a room... Most of the time I either feel like fleeing the room and the only thing that holds me there is the internet connection, which I intend to use less of next semester...

A Side Note: I know that I am a dork, and a slightly strange person, but I am pretty sure that my room-mate and suite-mates believe I am one of the weirdest people they have ever met... That doesn't bother me, but I have learned that they don't take well to most of the music I play... Thus, I just play my music for myself... That works well for me... I live in my own mind a great deal, anyhow...

Eisley is a sanctuary in and of itself

and why does everyone here hate hip hop (rash generalization, i know some of you like hip hop) you act like its the music of the devil or something...

and if your roomates are blasting music, turn up the volume, i've gotten a noise violation for playing Eisley so loud

I don't particularly care for hip-hop, but I don't hate it... I'm willing to give most musicians at least one try... Still, I am more of a folk music person...

I don't blast my music because I do not wish to be a jerk - like many of the people I know at A&M...

If I had to pick a music of the devil I would pick most "Christian" music and a lot of current "Country" music... That would only be my opinion... Hip-hop (Am I even writing that correctly?) is far from the music of the devil...

I am over-staying my welcome, but that would be why I used the phrase "bad rap". I'm not saying that all hip-hop is bad, but I have been less than underwhelmed by the stuff I have heard in the room.

This dork is now going to be quiet for a while...

It is... I find it funny...
Seriously, I hate most "Christian" music... "Hate" is strong, too strong for what I mean... It just seems kind of shallow - what I hear of it... Anyhow, I prefer musicians that seems a little more sincere about their faith...

Golly, I am so off-topic at this point...

So, now it appears that I am a complete music-Nazi... I will try to refrain from expressing musical opinions... After all, what does this dork - I mean myself - know about music? If I sound sarcastic or condescending, I don't mean it that way...
