It seems as though both of our initial observations were a little off. Your's happened to be the age of a band member, mine just happened to be the gender of the drummer. But now that I've seen pictures of Weston, I can't really see the female resemblence that I saw outside the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I guess it was just the distance. _________________ I think that it's brainless to assume that making changes to your window's view will give a new perspective.

i have explained before and wont bore ppl again. i found eisley totally accidently but really enjoyed the mp3s on their web page. was really strange to meet them at v festival, but cool at the same time. to anyone who hasnt, go see them live cos they are even better than on cd, like really. i get the feeling that it may be a long time before they play live over here again though, disappointing. _________________ "A mathematician is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat which isn't there." - Charles Darwin (legend) |

The Door, July 2002. I came to see The Elms (who are a great band, by the way). Eisley was the first band, I believe, to play that night..and they totally blew me away. I, being rather dumb, did not buy their EP2. Instead, I went home and downloaded Telescope Eyes. And that was the only song I had of theirs until.....December I think....when I started hearing talk about them being signed... and then blah blah blah blah here I am today. Hooray. _________________ Marion (Tex) |

hey Juan. I know you... i remember you from the old days; you used to ride over from London on your horse just to see that silly sibling band; and drink coffee. Oh DUDE..remember that time we ran your horse across the stage during their song, "Drag out the ole Horse Tonight"? ....and he pooped on stage...and you and I ran and hid behind the speaker, but...your horse had been branded with a stunning graphic of your face, so the cops found us out...and we called your mom to come get us? oh man...those were the days. I loved that ole horse. How is enigma, anyway? _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. Don't have a Eisley show story. Unfortunately, haven't seen 'em live yet, but that's all going to change in November. First heard of them, I guess in Rolling Stone. The thing on SXSW. Was intrigued 'cause they're chicks (plus two guys). I'm of the female persuasion and a musician (singer, guitarist, songwriter, producer) myself. Curiosity was peaked. There aren't enough good female musicians out there that are getting recognition. Picked up the EP, and loved it. And I'm very picky with music. oops, in my first line, I meant to say "an Eisley" story. Don't necessarily think Brand New will do anything for me. I'm going to see Eisley. Sorry I missed out on the Coldplay dates. I saw Coldplay on their first US tour, and it was just okay. |

I was flipping through a Rolling Stone and I saw this little blurb about a sibling band opening for Coldplay...so I went to the website and looked at the list of influences and was blown away, because they listed a friend's band (Waterdeep) as an influence. I already had tickets to see Coldplay at Red Rocks and so I was excited to hear this little band called Eisley, too. So, I began to regularly check the web site here and went and bought the EP the day it came out (another story there...One Best Buy had 20 copies, but couldn't find them, then I went to a couple of other places, couldn't find it, finally went to Virgin Mega-Crap and found the only copy they had...the clerks were shocked that they were opening for Coldplay and that there weren't more copies in stock, blah, blah, blah...) I went to the 2nd show they did at Red Rocks and, because of bad weather, they started the show half an hour early, and so I got to hear a song and a half. I was really, really bummed... I've turned several people on to the band...and I stay tuned to the boards, although I don't post that much. I'm still waiting for them to come back to Denver so I can actually see them play songs in a live envirionment... _________________ Yep. |
