Is there any chance that Eisley will play Cornerstone this year? _________________ my xanga: http://www.xanga.com/lifebydeath |

i feel so bad... after eisley's smashing debut in 2002, they've been so sucked out of that world... not intentionally. Last year they were invited to play the mainstage in all 3 locations but management/booking turned it down -fearing that the band would be out of the country. In the end, they weren't. I don't what Eisley's future has in store... but - Long live Cornerstone Fest. It'll always be seared into my mind...Eisley's 3 shows... the freakish turn out at the Newband Showcase, their red faces, near heat strokes, the dashing boys who went to fetch them cold water during their show...the again, the buzz, the crowd - overflowing and buldging outside the tent perameters, the love and support from everyone...the inquiries from the indies, the historic CD put in the hands of Aaron Sprinkle...the music attorney, the music industry, Capitol, WB, Columbia, Island DefJam, American, Epic, all the labels teaming at the door - Dream Works, Universal, Arista... and ones I forget. Cornerstone was an unsuspecting doorway. ok. that was a little history lesson for you newbies. the end. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. aaahhh cornerstone...there is no way to survive in that kind of heat...what i want to know is how they manage to pick the hottest week of the year EVERY year without ceasing. I don't know how bands survive with all the lights shining on them...its a wonder more of them don't pass out from heat exhaustion or something. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/whitewire4eva http://www.myspace.com/newparables |
