This means both - eisley.com and the new forum. Or... I'm TRYING for 3:00. Anything could happen... I'll let you guys know. Right now, it's just up to me... I have to re-create some buttons, add all the coded up blogs, fix some of the thumbnail photos that aren't coming up, add the cd thumbnail with copy to the front page, download the site from .org and up-load it to .com, test it, change index.html (old) to index.php, change the name servers so we can start pointing to what is now the .org host (we'll mirror both on both servers) and BAM!!! IF something or someone interrupts these activities, I will fail... and i'll come back and eat face... err. crow. There's still very, very little sleep in me. gRegor and Thomas have had no less. NEW DISCLAIMERS: The mp3 page is equipped with our own player. For some reason, the tunes (yes, same ones so what's the big deal) aren't STREAMING on Mac's. They "progressively download". That is, there's no buffer followed by quick play. Some systems may delay. Others are instant. We will work this out by getting some code from WB today or tomorrow or soon. Photo pages load slow. CRAP!!!$#!%. We still have to work them over. I have tricks up my sleeve and so do the other guys. Those pages are set to pre-load the "thumbnails" - which happens fairly fast - before pre-loading the full size images - so that when you mouse over, they're ready. But...It's a lot of data. I can always hack out half the photos, but I'd rather find a solution. Anyway... dial-ups will be frustrated for now. I haven't checked pm's, I haven't posted, I haven't done anything but make certain I can get this stupid site up today. The stress of the tour is upon me as these many marketing vehicles/products/projects have delayed responsibilities relating to the tour that BEGINS THIS WEEK!!!!! Will keep you informed. Thanks you lovely, amazing, eisley forum inhabitors... bd _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. There's only one timezone in Texas, sillypants Unless you count the tip of far far far far west Texas, which is in Mountain time ... but on that side of the time zone, there's only, like ... 5,000 miles until you get to New Mexico. So like I said, tiny tiny portion of Texas. It doesn't even matter. It's like comparing a grain of salt to something big. That's right- Mountain time West Texas is so tiny compared to the rest of Texas, that I might as well eat it. 3:00 PM central time is 8:00 PM Greenwich Mean Time ... I think. It actually might've been 6 hours ahead of Central time, because Prague was about 7 hours ahead of Central time and 1 hour ahead of London's time ... and London(DST) is the same as normal-people-London, right? I think ... P.S.: When I read the title of this thread, I shrieked and clapped my hands. _________________ If the end of the world has proper noodles I'll probably be okay with it. |
